I hardly used my credit card accounts, they both have £0.00 balances and when I saw the online service was closing, I tried to register for the app. It asks for you to send photo ID on the app to continue registration. This prompted me to close the accounts altogether.

I tried to set up the online banking facility, but it wouldn't let me proceed. After a lengthy phone call with an operative - when I finally got through to an actual person - it turned out that because the credit card service didn't have my mobile phone number I couldn't set up the account for online banking. "What is you mobile number, please". "Sorry, reception is very poor where I live, so giving you my mobile number will cause no end of problems. I have a PINSentry card reader, or perhaps you could send passcodes to my email?". "Sorry, we need your mobile number". "Goodbye". Before the online credit card service ceased to be available to me, I'd opted for paper statements, so now, in the 21st century, with Barclays it's back to statements in the post. I wonder how many new customers they've gained by this change? None? Good business decision, eh!

Just had the email, it's closing for me on the 11th November

My current Barclaycard expires at the end of this month. The replacement card arrived today.
The accompanying letter says I should use mybarclaycard.co.uk to register or log in, but that site does not respond in any way at all. I didn't expect it to work. They should have updated their stationery. I already have the app, but it does not allow downloading of OFX files to a PC.
Apparently I can't use the new card until the old one expires. This seems to be at odds with every other card I've had where the new card can be used immediately.

Spurred on by the information this thread I pre-emptively enrolled for Barclays Online Banking, and I can access my Barclaycard statements and download a CSV file if I want to. The Barclaycard online servicing is still working, but today I have received a paper letter notifying me that from 18 November I will no longer be able to access it.

Barclaycard CSV files contain the posted date, not the actual transaction date.
So a purchase on 16/09/2026 will show as (say) 17/09/2026.
Paying off a balance on 29/09/2026 will show 29/09/2026 (instant posting)
If you shop at a smaller location where they only submit transactions every other day, the difference between date of transaction and date of posting will vary.
I'll tolerate that kind of data on bank account (which have always tended to be 5 day week, which moved to 7 days a week), but not on credit card accounts (which have always tended to be 7 day week from the get go).
The website transaction view shows the transaction date.
As an aside, Lloyds Ultra shows posted dates on the website (I can ignore that), and transaction dates in the CSV data (I like that).
