Barclaycard Online Servicing now closed

The problem is that none of us knows whether a problem is unique to us or general. From these replies, I have to surmise it's general and Barclays don't want people using the main banking website just for card servicing and are pushing the mobile app…… over 3 weeks to sort out an access issue smells very fishy.

What I have noticed with the app in past 3 months is when I go to pay the statement I have to input my debit card details every time I want to pay. I am sure I never had to before and online my card details were saved
I know you can use DD but I prefer debit card as I know it's done

Yes, I'm the same. I have a minimum DD setup as a backup, but always pay the full amount by debit card. It has helped in the past when bank accounts have minimum spending requirements to get a bonus, I can use that debit card to add turnover.
In recent months it always asks if I want to use a new debit card, rather than offering a saved one. It can also be tricky once the other bank has approved the transaction to go back to the Barclays app to conclude the transaction. I've sometimes had to go through the approval process twice.
Barclaycard has always been run separately from the bank, and integrating the two on the app has been full of issues.
My card is a longstanding one, transferred from Egg. I always serviced it online, but on getting a switching offer from Barclays I added the credit card to the app as well as the new bank account. That threw the system into disarray and required a branch visit.
I closed the bank account reasonably quickly but kept using the banking app to service my Barclaycard.

As an update. I called Barclaycard customer services today…. After the usual unnecessary preamble, I spoke to one of their agents, He had all the details of my issue, plus the fact that I have raised a formal complaint. However, he said there is, as yet, no fix for the issue, but "This has been prioritised to the highest level, the team are working on it and you will be contacted when a fix is available". No timescale. He also commented that I am, indeed, not the only customer in this position.
So, three weeks to fix an access issue, no fix available and no meaningful communication with the customer (I don't count boilerplate macchine responses in this). What a joke.

I have just called them and they explained that very little changes really. They are withdrawing the separate Barclaycard web page apparently and I was advised to use the generic barclays.co.uk page to log in and access my credit cards. They say some features may not be available initially, but they will be added soon. I have tried to log in that way and failed because they had to update something in my registration, but it should work in 3-4 working days.
Not sure why they caused all this confusion if it was just a case of using a different web address. I think they were trying to make people think they had to use the app.

Anyone expecting the to get the functionality from the Barclays Bank you had with the Barclaycard website is going to have a very long wait. Barclays seem to be very good at withdrawing functionality without notice, and with no intention of providing an equivalent.
For example, you used to be able to download all your bank account transactions in OFX format in a single file, which was correctly formatted.
Now you have to download each account separately, specifying the date range (no "since last download" function). The "to" and "from" fields in the OFX file are set to "today" and "21 days ago" regardless of the date range actually selected/downloaded.
I know that none of my other banks provide an all accounts service, but at least the data contained in the downloads is correct. I'm just glad that MS Money is liberal on what it accepts.
The days of being able to download an OFX, OFC, QIF, or CSV file containing all transactions for a given statement period (or since last statement) are over, and will probably never return.
Instead there's a CSV download, which until a couple of weeks ago, had incorrect transaction amounts, and the wrong date information (posting date instead of the transaction date).
On a more general rant, why can't financial institutions provide "rich" CSV files which contain the transaction date and the posting date, as well as a unique identifier, rather than the bare minimum. It's clear that they don't know what people do with the data they download (not unusual), and couldn't be bothered to ask (unforgivable).
Rant over.

Still working for me today, and I have downloaded my transactions as an OFX file. I have not received any email or other notification that this service is being closed. Maybe they are operating a rolling programme, moving customers over in groups.

I received notification quite a while ago that the Barclaycard site was closing today.
I logged on yesterday, but I can't log on today. When I tried this morning I just go to a screen extolling the virtues of the Barclaycard app, but also saying I can use Barclays Online Banking.
I'm already a Barclays customer with online access, and I've been able to access my Barclaycard account on there for a couple of months. It shows up along with my current account and Rainy Day Saver on my accounts homepage.

I am very unhappy about Barclaycard closing their web access because, regardless of what they say, the Barclay's site does not have anything like the same facilities. In particular, the .csv download of statements is pitiful, no longer including which card (we have one each on the same account) was used or adding a category (which I made extensive use of for forecasting). Until recently, the .csv rounded the value of transactions to the nearest pound (!). .qif download has also disappeared.
I have talked all these issues through with them (as a result of complaining on X, which I had to rejoin just for this issue) and they have addressed none of them, apart from the rounding of transfer values. Today, a download of this month's statement as .csv and .pdf demonstrates how shabby this migration has been; the same transactions are reported with different dates and some transactions are missing from one or other.
This is shameful. If you make data available in a format that is designed for import / manipulation - there is no other reason to make .csv available - you have to maintain it's integrity. Changing / breaking it without any reference to customers, let alone advance warning, is a disgrace. I am recently retired after a career in technology, originally in software development, so have insight into how relatively trivial it would be to have done this smoothly. It's beyond incompetent and I have to wonder about their test procedures and acceptance criteria. I'm not convinced either existed.
We spend ~ £60kpa on this card - we use it for *everything*, precisely because I can then comprehensively forecast with ease as pretty much all of our spend is through Barclaycard or our joint account (routine bills). I am now looking around for the best replacement card, as Barclaycard no longer has any compelling reason for me to stay.2
