Most of this is beyond me to understand, no lack of IQ but lots of lack of focus and concentration… I'll just be grateful when I can get out of it with a bit more than I put in. I can't fathom whether the shares I bought in Apple are going south or north since i bought them. Is there a fee when I come to cashing in? It'll be some time next month… 3 months since I opened the account with £200 and got the £100 bonus.

Just sold my Apple share with some profit. Opted when I closed the position to have funds going into my GBP wallet but they went into my USD Investment wallet instead and now need to be converted, which will come with some fees due to the bad exchange rate. Anyhow, should be able to get ca £109 and my principal £200 out soon. Looks like eToro implemented all the fixes so funds stay in the account until the 90 days are actually up.

I signed up on the 22nd of June so will convert USD to GBP withdraw and close the account on 23d September when the 90 days are up. Hope it will all go without hick ups.

Was it not the requirenment, that it had to stay in for 90 days? I'd rather wait until they are over, a few days longer isn't going to make a difference now.

Yeh its the free shares that are locked. I withdrew my £200 about 2 weeks after depositing

  • Same here, added my £200, waited 90 days, no free shares offered… lost .75p and all of the interest I would have otherwise earned. Not cool, MSE!

Waited the 90 days and withdrew the £200 deposit yesterday and today sold my free shares and received the proceeds for those and came to £100.48.

All now safely in my linked bank account.

  • the “delete eToro app” day happens for me tomorrow! Can’t wait!

Thanks for the free cash, I guess
