Still feeling really tired, so haven’t done much at all today. Also haven’t spent anything though.
Looking at our joint account, we have £80 to last us 12 days, which will be tight. Mainly due to the 2 driving lessons we’ve paid for DD over the last 2 weeks. As mentioned before, she’s repaying them from July. But they’re 90 minute lessons so £300 for the 2. Having said that, if I don’t include them in numbers we’ll be comfortably ok to payday which shoes we can live within the lower budget when my wage drops soon 😊

Wow your kids are doing well with saving their own money, seems you have brought them up well when it comes to money.
That's good you can manage on your lower budget, do you have any more kids which will be going through driving lessons? just wondering if its worth saving what you are being repaid for next one so that you dont have to try find cost in your budget in future.
You are doing so well and so much considering you are in middle of chemo, puts rest of us to shame!

Thanks ☺️
The deal was if they don’t pay rent for four years, then they save. They’re both on good incomes, so could save £1-1.5k a month and still have plenty of money as they really don’t have many outgoings except clothes and spending money. But it’s lovely that they’re able to save, feels like we’re helping even though we can’t give them money ourselves.
Our third child is the one learning at the moment, then we’ve got 2 younger ones, but they’re a few years off learning. Definitely something to think about though once our income is back to normal. We could save £20 a month for 3 years for no.4 and then same again for no.5. Much less painful 😁
I’ve got more time on my hands at the moment, I’m less easy to distract. Once I’m back at work, I’ll be busier and more spendy 😂

yes £20 a month for driving lessons seems much more manageable then having to find £300 a month whilst learning! theres always something with kids, wont be long before its house warming gifts, wedding etc for older ones as well.

you are doing so well and coping with chemo is tough. Your grocery shop was great value!

Thanks blackcats ☺️
Still feeling a bit iffy today so asked DH to work from home so he could drive me to my PICC/blood appt. I feel ok, but very sluggish and every now and then I get lightheaded, so I thought it was best not to drive. Next chemo is on Wednesday, so hopefully bloods are ok for that.
Spending wise, nothing unbudgeted today. Our youngest has his sports day tomorrow, so we got some picnic stuff for that, but that is out of our grocery budget ☺️

Bloods all good for Wednesday 🥳
My thyroid function is getting better on the thyroxine, so doctor reckons I’ll start feeling better in a week or two. He said I’m anaemic too (normal at this stage of chemo) and I’ve been dumped straight into menopause. He said he was impressed I was still functioning, so I feel a bit better about feeling iffy the last few days 😂
I’ve been watching r!vals and reading Ramit Sethi’s book - good mix of trash tv and educational book 😂

Thanks Lucielle and DITR
Sports day went well… quite a lot of picnic stuff left, so yummy lunchboxes for kids tomorrow.
Feeling much more human, just in time for chemo tomorrow 😂
No unbudgeted spends today, but the month is crawling by! I want to get to payday for a full month on the budgeting mission 😁
