Sending lots of positive vibes for the appointments tomorrow! I love the idea of a walking pad but have wondered if it’s the novelty of it, or I really would use it regularly.

Weight training wise, I’ve signed up to the L@dder app. It cost me £130 out of my own pot for the year, which is just over £10 a month. There are quite a few trainers on there specialising in different things, I’m going to do a dumbbell program where the workouts are only 30 mins. I’ll be doing 3-4 a week, but I won’t overdo it and keep weights under 5kg because of my PICC line.

I’ve been having a clear out and selling on V!nted, mainly make up, hair care, perfumes and clothes. I’ve switched to all ‘clean’ brands so I wouldn’t have used a lot of what I had stockpiled. I’ve made about £500 and put it in my personal pot for now.

Most of our finances are joint apart from the £250 personal spend a month that we budget.

I have a personal current account that I put that into. I then have a personal savings account that I put extras into (like V!nted sales) or anything left at the end of the month. I also set up a S&S ISA that I’ve been putting £50pm of my personal money into. It’s doing well, 11% up so far this year.

I’ve been spending less on going out and buying clothes etc, so I’ve currently got £200 in current, £700 in savings and £500 in S&S ISA. Not saving for anything in particular.

Such a nice day today, got my chores done nice and early. Then did my walk on the walking pad as planned, watched ‘get smart with money on Netflix’ which was entertaining enough, didn’t really learn much but I like how they paired the different experts to each person’s goal and that they followed up with them quarterly.
I ended up spending £3.20 out of my personal fund today on reserving 4 library books (you pay 80p if they’re being moved from another local one to yours). I see this as a win though as I was going to buy them at £8-10 each 😁

I use mine quite a lot… even before the illness. If it was !!!!!! weather or I just couldn’t be bothered to go outside. I listen to a podcast or watch a show 😁

Really pleased with the scan, it showed a 70% reduction in volume of the tumour and that the lymph nodes are still clear. Apparently at this stage they’d be pleased with a few mm reduction, so the oncologist was very enthusiastic.

Had a big fat slice of cake and a Pepsi max to celebrate, not really in line with my supposed health kick 🤔 but there was a lot of waiting around today in between appointments. Saying that, 2 slices of cake and 2 drinks at the hospital cafe was £20. Rude! I had random cash in my purse, so I’m not counting it in my budget 🤫

Our current account has £403 in it to last 2 week…. nothing much budgeted to come out, so we should make it 🤞🏻
