Just catching up with your news and adding positive vibes to those already flooding your way too!

Health improvements - allowing that you already eat healthily, focus on sleep, stress and (when you're able to) movement as the biggest improvers of health markers - getting those things where they should be as far as possible will do the best to support your recovery and to safeguard your future health as well. I think a lot of folk forget about sleep but it's such a huge factor isn't it - and all the more so when your body needs all the recovery time it can get!

Sounds like getting the budget under control is a great way of keeping the stress down as well so well done on that. Don't beat yourself up too much if you go over the new budget this month though - remember it IS your first month manging with the substantially lower figure!

That's interesting about the sleep prime time being 10-6, I have terrible insomnia and struggle to get to sleep easily. was the book good?

  • Yes, I’d recommend it. Explains what your body and brain does while you sleep and how sleep deprivation (and not much deprivation either) affects every mechanism in your body.
    I definitely underestimated the importance…

  • Feeling productive today, got out for a walk early before it started getting too hot, managed 45 minutes comfortably so that was good.

Main chores are done and a couple of Vinted parcels posted.
Our account is looking good, just over £150 to last us until payday on Wednesday so we should make it.

Quiet weekend planned, Father’s Day Sunday, Usually we’d get a takeaway or have a pub lunch, but we’re just doing a BBQ at home this year ☺️

  • Another quiet day… chilled with the kids, did some chores etc. No spending today again.

  • Father’s Day… always a tricky one. My dad died 8 years ago, so it’s a bittersweet day.

We would normally get a takeaway for dinner (both of us get days off cooking on mothers/fathers day) but we decided on a BBQ. It’s much cheaper and healthier. Kids will all be here this evening, so should be nice.

I’m halfway through my chemo regimen this week… 12 weeks down, 12 to go 🥴. Feels like a decent landmark.

I bought a sh@rk fan a few weeks back and I love it so much. It’s been a godsend in this hot weather 😎. It was about £80 so more spendy than I’d have liked but cheaper than a lot of the decent ones.
