that's a really good approach from OH. Great that you can put work to one side until next year and it will help you feel good about how your employer values you too.

That's a really intelligent approach from OH. Good to hear that approach is sometimes taken - a far cry from the determination that so often occurs whether spoken or implied to get folk back ASAP!

good news re OH decision and thinking. It also removes from you any feeling of 'I should get back to work' when they make that decision for you…

Thank you, it is nice to have the decision taken out of my hands. I’d have probably tried to do some hours and it would have been hard to manage around appointments and energy levels. This way, I can properly focus on the remaining treatment and resting when I need to etc.
I’m not sure when my full pay runs out, I’ve lost track. So some of this time off might be on half pay, but I can’t bring myself to care 😂. The EF might get dipped into!
My lovely aunt is visiting tomorrow morning, she’s one of my favourite people in the world and I love spending time with her. She’s actually only 15 years older than me as there was a big age gap between her and my dad.
Then I’ve got immunotherapy tomorrow afternoon, I’ve always had it alongside chemo before, so it’ll be interesting to see how it is on it’s own (symptoms/side effects)
