A couple of years ago my DD was having both blood transfusions and iron transfusions. She had an aneurysm between her pancreas and lining of the stomach and was not only losing blood but severely anaemic. She’s fine now by the way.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪3 -
apparently a blood transfusion works straight away. Chemo suppresses bone marrow so they go for the quickest fix. The rest of my iron panel is ok, it’s just my haemoglobin that’s low

A bit of an unexpected windfall… I was owed annual leave from last year. They don’t let you carry it over so they’re paying me the equivalent. I hadn’t bothered asking the amount, but I can now see it pending and it’s £1100 😮.
We’re going to put it in our holiday fund as once treatment is over we’d like to go away somewhere and I think travel insurance will be painful 🤢DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
