I am defrosting my freezer.
I have been meaning to for weeks but I just discovered things starting to defrost because the ice was stopping the door from shutting.

I have been continuing to clear nettles and brambles from the edges of the garden - my, it’s hard work! Another one tonne builder’s bag filled and a green waste tip run booked for tomorrow morning. I’ve been grumbling about it, but it’s very rewarding to see the progress made.

😁 It is the start of July clean so I'm being productive
Don't want to be dreadful but since we're moving out start of August and housing association are going to come in and do a ton of work (one would hope), probably not going to use limited time, energy, and CPC ability to do a big clean again!

The hob has been cleaned, I repeat, the hob has been cleaned 😂
And have started an essentials box for moving in day. Tbf it's just duvet set and wine glasses, but at least I know my basic needs will be met

You need a bottle as well as the glasses PIP!

I took a small bag of clothes and cushion covers to the charity bin this week.
I also managed to slice up and freeze enough olio bread to last me a couple of months at least.
The 'on it's last legs' washing machine managed to wash my large rug, for which I'm very grateful.

First post holiday wash out on the line drying.
OH is lying on the couch moaning about his post holiday cold and lingering sunburn and insect bites - he does suffer!!! He said to me earlier that he would deal with the laundry if I decided what needed to go in the first wash - the damp bathing suits that have been in a plastic bag for the last 2 days was an easy start!! When I told him the basket was ready he looked puzzled and said he thought I'd be putting it in the washing machine. When it was done and I told it was time to be hung out he looked miserable and asked how hot it was outside. It was an easy load so I did it myself rather than have the sunshine aggravate his burns and ensure there was more to moan about. I can't be too fussed by him - he did make breakfast and wash up after!!!
I also hung out one of the suitcases (it's a soft shapeless thing) to give it a good airing, rinsed his still sandy sandals and hung them out as well. I'm sure the weather would allow another couple of loads to be done and dried but I'm happy to pace it over the next couple of days.

Fortunately I know where the bottles are @greenbee, we are moving to a godforsaken area with no aldi so every time Mr PIP goes to the build I make him take a bottle of an aldi's wine of the week from the supplies with him
