I've set up my wifi extender so I can work in the attic office again once the weather calms down.
I've also chased my January extra wages again and have been assured I'll get them on 29th.
Can I also claim keeping all my animals and most of my plants alive in this heat???

At last it’s a little cooler today after a week of crazy temperatures, so after a quick visit this morning to my second favourite Community Fridge (where they were handing out lots of tomatoes, stir fry veg, aubergines, avocados and packs of frozen chicken breasts!) I spent an hour in a shady part of the front garden pulling up the last of the wayward brambles and shoulder-high nettles which had invaded the shrubbery alongside the drive. I’ve filled a one ton builders bag, managed to lug it over to the back of the Freelander, and have booked a slot at the council tip tomorrow. I’m pleased that job has been tackled, at last.
I am not attempting any more today, apart from reading and eating home made orange juice ice lollies. At 6pm I may move on to Pimm’s 🤣3 -
I feel like I am actually functioning again after a week of ridiculous temperatures!
I have cleared out, organised and decluttered my tea towel / oven gloves / apron drawer in the kitchen. It’s now possible to close it! 😂 There are also designated ‘mop up disaster’ tea towels in a separate location.Batch of soup made for work lunches using frozen pre-prepped, HG leeks 😊👏, blitzed, boxed up, all washing up done. Just need labelling and away to the fridge or freezer for use this week 😊
Bathroom and loo both cleaned. Dust bunnies under the towel rail vanquished with the damp tissue that resulted from polish-drying the mirror and tap block 😊👏
I may now do some knitting and see if I can knock over the wrist warmers I have been working on for months ….! 😉

I have booked the dentist and hygienist for this week. The receptionist said it was very unusual to be able to book them both back to back so that was lucky timing.😉

Day 'off work' tomorrow so suppose I'd better do The Big Clean 🙄

We have the workman here and he has fitted the outside pipe (finally as it has been months!) and he is resealing the sink for us too. I have the dentist and the hygienist later and then I really need to finish my book as I need to start the next book group book.
