As well as doing some watering/feeding of plants, I have
- FINALLY called the handyman (coming end of this week/beginning of next) about the blinds that need putting up. When he's here I'll go through my list of other stuff that needs doing, and if he does a good job, get him to do those.
- Put some of the builders' rubbish in the bin ready for tomorrow. Anything to help make the place look less miserable.
- Called the locksmiths so they can look up the locks I had before. I need to call when I'm sure the door will be ready and they'll come and measure up.
- Escalated issues with IT kit return to ex-employer's HR (seeing as IT were failing dismally to do anything about it) and now have labels. One lot of stuff is boxed up, I need to find a box for the other stuff and then print the label for it.
- Printed payslips/P11D/P60/P45 and filed them
- Sorted through a load of notebooks and torn out used pages for recycling. I bet there's more stuff I could recycle (like the file of printed presentations from two employers ago…)
- Binned lots of coloured pencils/crayons/felt tips that are annoying and don't work well.
- Ignored the dog's requests to go for another walk - it is FAR too hot
I need to:
- Make up lick mats and kongs and freeze for dog
- Get meat out of workshop freezer to defrost (people food, not pet food)
- Pack up at least one box of stuff from office and get it upstairs
- Find a box to pack the other lot of returns to old employer into
- Book eye test
- Work out what paperwork I need to do to sign on, as I should do that sooner rather than later.

I do believe you can sign on all online -

Thanks @Brie - I need to make sure I have all my stuff together and I guess I can use the fact that I'm waiting for a F2F appointment to avoid booking anything else in 🙃
Have done the dog's lick mats and kongs. Must remember to go and stick more paper in the printer at some point as I think there are a couple of documents that haven't printed.

Have done printing, and a bit more sorting in the office. And watered the camellias in an attempt to use up some of the camellia food. Still have lots more stuff that needs a really good soak, and have resorted to tap water via soaker/sprinkler hose on the borders as they're struggling a lot more than I realised - I think the wind is adding to the stress/dehydration. Also need to find a few more things to bung in the bin to cover up the builders' rubbish I put in there. Not that I've ever had a problem with getting rid of DIY stuff, but I'd like to try to at least make the top layer look like household stuff! Of course, with clearing out the office, I mostly have recycling.

I'll try and remember to take one tomorrow 🙂
I picked up my new clothes from M&S. I bought sugar to make some syrup/jam with fruit from the garden.

Here you go @Brie
It matches the shed that I painted last year…
They look slightly different colours but it's just the different light. It's a kind of raspberry ripple pink.

Love the pink @Rhyddid2026
I have applied for JSA and booked an optician appointment.

I find the best thing to do when your neighbours are being a***holes is to distract yourself with something bright and unmissable. Five years ago when they were being a***holes I put up 6ft by 12ft green trellis and planted a couple of purple clematis 😄
Don't look next door look at the bright and cheery things.
I do also have a sign on the shed that says 'gardening because murder is frowned upon' 😂
