IT'S OKAY…
If you're not sure yet
If you struggle with focus
If you want to go back
If you feel flawed sometimes
If you worry too much
If you love speaking your mind
If you put yourself first
If you carry extra baggage
If you have a lot of questions
If you are feeling left out
If you miss him/her/them still
If you don't share everything
If you follow your own rules
(Positively Present)

back after a weekend in Bamburgh. The beach was gorgeous as always. Did lots of pottering about, dog walks, ice creams.
grateful forFeeling so refreshed after that short break
Meeting such friendly people
Seeing our dog’s laughing face as she enjoyed fuss and was living her best life
Hope you are managing, Turtles. It’s so quiet in here compare to old days. I have followed you for years now and am hoping people are ok

Seems like life is a waiting game for me right now:
Waiting to see when my back operation will be.
Waiting to see when our Friends of the Library Group can move into its new space.
Waiting to see if roommate G really needs gallbladder surgery.
Waiting to see if the storage tanks about 5 miles away that have been leaking a dangerous substance are just going to leak all over and be cleaned up or if the tank will blow up. We aren't yet in the evacuation zone but very close to it. So keeping an eye on the news. Has been going on for three days now. 40,000 people evacuated already.
Waiting to see when roommate G's nurse will get here - she is seldom on time and is already late. May be related to the gas leak. Not sure which direction she comes from but one of our freeways is closed for a few miles. And several of the major streets are closed. City even called on the phone to tell us which streets to avoid - and didn't say why. A good thing it is on the news.
Waiting to see if I can get up and pour some vinegar on the weeds in the front garden walkways. Not sure my leg will work so I can move even using the walker.

((hugs)) @weenancyinAmerica you have a lot on your plate. I hope all scenarios resolve soon for you.
@grandmanerd I forgot to say thanks for the list. It’s so positive and reassuring x5 -
It is indeed very quiet @Rowan9
Very hot here, strange after such cold weather just a few days ago!
Called in to see DD2 this morning after going to a rubbish car boot sale at silly o'clock. Then got some gardening bits done, as I don't actually mind hot weather that much. Thinned out a row of turnips and planted a few things in gaps, mainly marigolds and pak choi, and repotted some dwarf sunflowers I don't have room for yet. Otherwise a lazy weekend after a couple of days at work.
Made a Thai curry for evening meal. Hot but yummy 😊
I have watering to do once it cools down a bit, and OH will walk the dog (I did the morning one at about 5.30 am).
There is another boot sale on tomorrow - contemplating going in case it is better than today's 🤔

Hope all goes well for you @weenancyinAmerica. That sounds scary.

Hope you get some answers soon weenancy.
Well the freezer/ fridge-freezer swap happened but wasn't wildly successful. DS3 refused to let me take the bottles out of the FF (I filled it with bottles of water after I'd emptied all the food out) and put two holes in the vinyl flooring. He would only take the cans off the bottom shelf and then got stuck manouevring the FF round the corner (he'd looked at the freezer and only needed one shelf moving, the FF is a foot taller).
He struggled for a bit. The shelf brackets are old and have been painted many times. He could move the shelf but one bracket wouldn't come out. He tried to get the FF round the corner and under the stairs but got stuck on the skirting board. So it's in a very sily place right now. Stuff that had to come out of the way is all over the kitchen and I've not summoned any further energy to do any tidying (I'm having a swap round o some of those things too, so I didn't want them shoving back). He has worked hard and has been hiding upstairs ever since in case I mention any further tasks.
I have come up with a plan B but it will have to wait for another day. Beloved' duvets are finally out of the WM but that's now blocked off so my washing is still hanging around (only towels and bedding so no rush).
Quite a lot has gone in various bins but the air is extremely dry because of the heat so outside is not comfortable or me atm.
Grateful for DS3 doing most of the donkey work (I was dreading getting all the smaller bits out of the way but he managed to move a unit with most of the things still in/ on it), a relaxing afternoon of reading and puzzle games and a comedy horror film this evening, having a second shower and washing my hair.

That sounds inconvenient @grandmanerd - hope you manage to get it sorted soon.
Shopping day today and as usual it seemed ridiculously expensive. Must remember to ask for a paper receipt in L*dl as it didn't come up on the app as it should have done 🙄 It is such a scramble in there at the checkouts and I have been overcharged before. Went to Waitr*se afterwards, to get the bits from my list that L*dl didn't have. Bliss in there, in comparison. Anyway, done for another week. If we run out of something before next Tuesday we will do without it. I don't do top up shops!
Really hot already. Today is supposed to be the hottest day here for a while. I watered the garden pots (I have a lot) and seedlings early this morning, at about 6 am, to get it out of the way. I have plenty of indoor jobs to keep me busy. It is relatively cool in here compared to outside.

Enjoying the heat here. It’s so good for my muscles.
