Ah, heady days.
"and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green."

20 years ago, I got a 48" TV that has never had any television on it. Wonderful DVD screen, computer screen, and I have saved over £3,000, on the TV TAX 🤗 Goodness knows how much monthly pay to view for twenty years would have cost 🤣
20 years ago, I told the licensing goons I didn't watch TV, after a couple of years, I did that a second time. Since then, the BBC has spent lots on postage, envelopes, A4 stationery, and the goons that visited, saw my label saying smile for the camera, and ran away again 🤣

How is your requirement or otherwise for a TV Licence linked to the size of the TV?

How have you managed to save over £3000, on something that isn't even a tax?
If you can use a calculator you can work out how much the monthly costs would have been.

Interesting way of defining savings.
Today I have saved £143,000 by not buying an Aston Martin Vantage.

I put a very large TV up on the wall above the fireplace for someone at a small council house. It was so big that that there was only a tiny space above and below between the TV and the coving and mantlepiece.
I thought it was far too big from the room and would give them neckache!

TVs are meant to be viewed at or just below eyelevel for comfortable watching not stuck up above a fireplace.
This is a good guide to TV positioning and size.

the smaller the council house, the bigger the tv.
