Suspicious call purportedly from my bank . .
I received a call earlier purportedly from my bank, Triodos. The caller said that a transaction had been attempted which had been flagged as fraud and had been blocked. I said I wasn’t convinced the call was genuine, but was told they were not going to ask me for any personal information. The caller said my card would be blocked and a new one sent out. They sent me a code which they asked me to read back - this was a little worrying as the email said the code was to set up online banking.
I tried calling Triodos, but they only work weekdays so I couldn’t talk to anyone. I have blocked the current debit card in the app, changed my passcode. The only way into the app is by using biometrics and/or using a passcode.
Is there anything else I need to do? I’m not happy that I am unable to speak at my bank over the weekend. I am seriously considering moving my day-to-day banking back to RBS where I can speak to someone 24/7.
Thoughts?

"was told they were not going to ask me for any personal information"
but then
"They sent me a code which they asked me to read back"
Textbook scam. Sorry, I have no advice but I hope you didn't read the code out. It is certainly a bit poor there's no weekend fraud support.
Edit, it is strange that their fraud page shows email only for weekends, but then also states- We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all calls relating to debit card queries (such as lost or stolen cards)

You should never read back any codes.
Suggest you keep a very close eye on what is happening with your account.
Bank fraud departments are usually available 24/7 using the number on your card.2 -
Did you read the code back? If they've been trying to access your account, or set up a new account in your name, this is the crucial authorisation step.

I have transferred the remaining balance from Triodos to my RBS account and will set up a switch so all my direct debits move across.

That number gets you through to Visa card fraud, not Triodos - I spoke to them and they said all they could do was block the card, which I could do myself in the app.

I too hope you didn't read that code back to them, might be a 2FA from one of your other accounts and nothing to do with Triodos, be very wary of access attempts to your other bank accounts and your phone and particularly your email accounts.

Barclays still use SMS codes which they ask you to read back to them as one of their verification options.

As do BT, but only after you have contacted them.

If the code you received (and read back) was to set up on-line banking you should probably change your on-line password immediately.
