Thank you but you have completely misread my post

The hub used to be in the ingetgral garage we have a door to it. It was in the garge with the copper wire BB and worked fine

Now its been moved to the same room as we asked sky to do that ie same room as tv, samrt speakers, laptops and secuirt cams to the rear and tv - it is next to useless on the smart speakers in the same room and other rooms. I've tried my own wifi amplifier no difference.

The stats show i am getting a gret service in reality no.

About the white hub - are you sayinng it does not genrally improved dropped connections?

    Thanks

My neighbour is with Sky and an Alt BB provider provided our street and asked people to sign up and he did after a couple of weeks he suffered bad TV so he called Sky and they sent Open Reach out who found a fault in the Alts cable instating at the top of the pole and put it right. ( Was rather surprised OR touch another networks cable.)

As the OP is now on FTTP there are no router statistics as such , FTTC is rate adaptive so the speed may vary depending on line conditions and line length, one of the reasons FTTP is undeniably superior is full fibre has no such thing as rate adaptation, you get the speed you pay for irrespective of how long the ‘line’ is , that’s why the initial comment can’t be correct ….FTTP cannot be slower , it can be faulty (but it’s not possible the fault reduces speed , it works or doesn’t work ) or the account is set up at the wrong speed .

Nothing has been done to verify any of this , short of saying YouTube worked better on the TV (connected by WiFi) when on the FTTC service than it does now on the FTTP service , but that’s a bit like buying a Ferrari to replace your Vauxhall, and the next day the journey to work takes a little longer in the Ferrari than it did in the Vauxhall , but instead of checking if there were any reasons for this (like roadworks) that was responsible for the longer journey time , you simply say that the Ferrari must be a slower car .
