Golly Valli, that souds like a lot - being pranged by someone, being offered a dodgy deal and than approached by an unethical insurance bod. Any one of those would be enough to set me into a tizz. I hope it all sorts itself out quickly and without any further ado.
Round, I really feel for you, working in Toxic Towers. Your relationship with the MacMillan nurses sounds healthy and as work should be, and I thoroughly recommend volunteering after retirement.

Morning all
My chest is tight and I sound absolutely dreadful. I am trying to use this to my advantage and get DH to make me a bacon sandwich and second coffee. It's not happening yet.
So, my office. I am moving forward with plans to create a calm little reading corner for myself. A cupboard and a spinning bike have gone, and I am going to get a charity to collect a free standing shelf unit. I have seen a lovely chair in Next and it is currently in the sale with £100 off, it's not the colour I was going to order but that's fine, it still very lovely.
But first the room needs painting, so that will be my job for today, but I also need to try to fight off this bug so I will take it steady.

Morning all xx
Did you remember to change the clocks? I've done half of mine - I am currently living in two time zones in one house. 🙃
Thank you HB. If I'm allowed to Retire and Return it wouldn't be volunteering, I'd be working those two days with the Macmillan Nurses to supplement my pension. Finances would be tight without the extra income and I was thinking that if my request to retire and return was declined I'd defer retirement. That's no longer an option as far as I'm concerned.
I need to crack on with the Saturdailies today, and hopefully get the Sundailies done too. Black Dog sat on me yesterday afternoon and I was good for nothing. Sticks have been thrown, and despite overthinking through the night I feel a little lighter this morning.
Brew 2, breakfast and then crack on is the plan.
Love to all

Morning all,
Valli, so glad that you are ok. The insurance dealings sound decidedly dodgy. So much hassle when you’ve done nothing wrong.
Round, I am throwing more sticks for that pesky black dog.
Very little (quite close to zero 😳) flying done yesterday. I spent a couple of very cold hours at the allotment in the morning. In the afternoon we had yet another couple of bouts of hail, one of which stranded me temporarily in the gh 🤣. Friends came round in the evening, so lots of chatting and maybe the odd glass or 2.
This morning, I am on clock hunt, as there is always one that I miss. The wm has just finished, I may risk hanging some outside but that may be a stupid idea. Apart from that, I predict very little further flying - maybe some time in the gh, maybe some sewing.8 -
Morning All,
I didn't meet my friend yesterday. He has problems with one of his feet/ankle and it was playing up so I suggested that he rest it as he was going to a concert in the evening with his friend and they'd be on their feet all night.
I still had to go out to do some jobs. I could have got the bus but it would have taken about an hour to go through 2 towns to get there so I did the half hour walk in a straight line instead.
I went to the P.O which is in Mr T's to pay money in. Then to the vets to order flea treatment and to see if I could get eye drops for the cat as his eye is yucky again but of course I couldn't, he has to see the vet ££. Made an appointment for next week. The vets receptionist is nearly as bad at the doctors!
I nipped into the shop next door (not sure how to name them) then walked home via Mr A to pick up my meds to be told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait! But it wasn't worth me walking home to walk back so I went into a well known coffee shop to spend a fortune (in my opinion) on a coffee. Mr A ripped out their cafe which was very popular with the mature customers and well priced to replace it with the coffee shop and always seems to be empty.
When I got home I was shattered but at least I got well over my steps done.
This morning I've done one load of washing thats now on the airer after rejigging what was already on there.
I've opened windows upstairs to air through and make the bed. Sorted the cats bowls. But odds and ends in the DW and washed up the airfryer. I'm interested to know how others wash theirs and I never seem to get it as clean as I want it.
I've also cleaned the bathroom to which my back decided I needed a coffee. While waiting for the kettle to boil I realised I hadn't changed the kitchen clock so I've also done that.
After my coffee I'll start again

Morning all. I've now had 3 (very long) text messages from the other party's insurers offering to sort everything out; well call me cynical but I will stick to my own insurer, tvm… if it continues I might consider putting in a formal complaint. What does appear to be clear is that the other party has accepted liability. And so he should.
Anyway (Pollyanna mode incoming) I can be glad I don't have to update the car clock to BST. 🤣

Valli - my car clock will be an hour early all summer I expect. It was last year. Less four minutes because its 4 minutes fast. 🤯 maybe I'll see if I can alter it after all. I do have the instruction manual in my glove box.
I've showered, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised, and I'm wearing all clean clothes. I've brought down the laundry hamper and sorted the washing into loads. First load is swishing. It won't be pegged out as its raining here.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling, then have a coffee.
One more clock to alter then the whole house will be in the same time zone.
And breathe.....
Thank you for the sticks, Fayolle. Much appreciated.

I'm not enjoying this week. I turned my phone on when I came out of church to hear that my stepsister died yesterday. I feel very unmotivated and it's raining. Must see if I can get solace in the greenhouse.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.12 -
Birds fed, recycling out, all clocks in the house now on BST. My body clock may take a while longer to adjust.
Two loads of washing swished and draped on the airer.
I've been into town and picked up my prescription. I was going to fill up with fuel but there was no diesel at Mr T, so that's still on the To Do list.
