oh I love celandines. I buy wood chip (bark) to mulch my border and celandines magically appeared and I was thrilled. I know, technically, they're a weed but they are safe with me.
Funeral was well attended, I was very brave and talked to strangers so I wouldn't look like Billy-no-mates, though answering the how I knew the deceased was awkward because I didn't really.
I had a nice chat outside the church with a former colleague and his wife and I'll see them at the next funeral I am going to.
Washing brought in. WUALTD and I also dried some bits too.
Went to PO twice to drop off ebay sale; first time they wouldn't accept the parcel; second time I picked up sausages for tea - it is a Morrisons Local and now they accept the more card I don't mind using it. So a bit of flingage.

Thanks Valli for the thread and Natty for last week.I have had a lovely but busy day today. I was showered and away by 7am and had both kids by 8.10. Back at DS’ I started the 2 year old some knife skills with the Montessori style kitchen set I bought for her. She loved it and cut up her fruit and mini pancakes for breakfast. We then made coconut cookies and I swear it was like baking with devil, she was into everything, but we have a bunch made that should see them for a couple of days. She then helped cut up her lunch which was more like a running buffet. 4 stories and she fell asleep on me in the rocking chair so I put her down and an hour and a half to clear up the mess before it all started again. Another school run and then a quick exit to get back for a dr’s appointment which was typically running late, but I now have a script for something else to try and prevent the migraines.
As I was on the opposite side of town I nipped over to see dad who was very excited as he had been to look at a new to him car, a newer version of the XF he already has. The biggest difference though is going from over £700 a year car tax to £35!Back home DD cooked the burgers for tea and DH made chips while I drank tea. I have cleared away and reloaded the DW that DD had emptied (shock) and I did a S/S of the kitchen.
I still have a few jobs leftover from yesterday like watering plants, I did one freezer update but need to do the other and I forgot to ask DH to do the floors, although he took great delight in telling me he had scrubbed the toilet!
Thank you for the recommendation Sandyshores, I will keep my eyes open.Mortgage, paid off!9 -
a nice energetic and productive day to start the week -
cleaned and organised the fridge and used up odds and end to make Korean fried rice and prepped overnight oats using last of the yoghurt and the last apple and pear from the fruit bowl. We will take a flask and a pot of oats for a brunch time walk tomorrow.
Did a quick bit of sewing on one of DH's jackets which has resolved something that's been bugging him for ages 😇
Cleaned the kettle and the tea making station in the kitchen as well as the tea and coffee shelf
Cleaned up cat's sick 🥴
Washing done, line dried and put away

Hi all
I felt so tired when the alarm went off this morning. I decided to prioritise half an hours yoga before the paid stuff but still felt anxious. I haven't felt like that for ages. Made myself go for half an hours walk at lunchtime which cheered me up, no less than five random strangers said hello to me as I did a loop around the housing estate near my office!
All washing dried and put away, quick hoover around my office, DS loo, utility room and kitchen. Floors mopped, DW emptied. DH made fajitas and I followed him around cleaning and tidying as he cooked.
DD1 messaged to say he thinks he has flu, he isn't one for exaggerating and he said he feels dreadful. I told him to go to bed and rest. I will try not to worry about him.

I managed to bleach the dishcloth today and then used the water to bleach the rest of the sink. But was a full day working, so there wasn't much time or energy for anything else. I did a couple of walks around the estate and well over 7,500 steps. MrShores cooked and emptied/washed out the little bin, and I emptied and washed out the food waste bin. Washing up done and dishwasher loaded/set for the morning - we seem to manage every 2 days now.
Yesterday I managed to sort out the two drawers of paperwork, so I now have an indexed folder for monthly bills etc. and some zip files for other things - feels good to be able to lay my hands on things like insurances now - instead of having to scrabble around through different piles in drawers. There is a large bag of paperwork to be recycled but I'll need to go through it and remove any personal details. I'll probably do that in 15 minutes lots when i can.

DD has helped me make the dining table smaller - it fits when extended but rather dominates the space. Tea towel draped on the seats to protect them from the cat.
DW loaded. Tomorrows list going up imminently

Morning,
DD2 has finally got some time off at work (had to use up holiday hours before April) so I went to her's yesterday to sort through her stuff. She's a bit of a hoarder and also buys things for the sake of it. It was worse when she had time to help out at the charity shop!
Anyway, yesterday we went through a fair bit of her clothing and I made her get rid of about 2 sacks worth. She still has clothing in drawers and washing on the airer to go through. I refuse to let her keep tat just because so&so gave it to her!
Her whirly gig broke so that has hindered the washing and after she'd asked her upstairs neighbours if she could borrow theirs they then decided to have a bbq. Her father was supposed to bring a spare one his girlfriend has over yesterday but didn't bother even after being reminded.
I'm going around again today after I've been to the job centre to help her with more. Not sure what yet apart from more clothes.
I personally think that counts as Monday jobs. I was shattered when I got home so apart from cooking dinner, loading and putting on the DW then wiping round I haven't done anything at mine.

I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.
