Valli, Glad to hear you are both alright. What an absolute PITA though.

I'm in full agreement with what Loanranger said, Valli - and I trust you and your friend won't get any nasty after-effects xx
2 pieces of paper and 3 cards decluttered this morning.

Glad to hear you're both OK Valli. But sorry you now have all the hassle through no fault of your own. Didn't you just get that car? Or am I muddled up again?
I've not done a thing this morning despite my good intentions. I spotted the gardener's car outside and rushed upstairs to throw on some clothes, which upskittled my Saturdailies routine. Gardener has been paid. Then I went to visit Pops- who is not himself at all. Usually he doesn't stop talking, now it's hard work getting any conversation out of him. I don't know if he's depressed? Maybe worried about what they'll find when he has his brain scan on Tuesday. (The doctors in Spain told him he had a small tumour at the front of his brain). I could feel the black dog prowling but I don't know if it was his or mine.
Not heard anything about my biopsy or blood results. Not heard from Endocrinology yet.
And breathe.....

What a day - anyway car recovered to home. Friendly (nosey!) neighbours chatted with.
Yes - got it at the end of September and it was cute and I loved it, as did my sister from whom I bought it.
Just had a call from the other driver's insurance … am somewhat puzzled as I would have thought they would deal directly with my insurance. As I was uncomfortable I ended the call without any discussion.

Thank you Honey Bear9 -
I've put the rubbish out and put new bin bags in the bins. Put out the recycling and fed the birds. Put fresh tea towels out.
It's a start!

@Valli - Glad to hear you are okay. Probably shaken up though. Take care for a few days. Sounds like you need to call your insurance company and ask questions. They may be trying to 'pull a fast one".

Oh Valli, glad you are both OK but like everyone else says it's just such a hassle.
And I hope Pops is OK Round it all sounds a bit worrying.
I have made a start on painting the shelving unit in my office. When we moved in in 2002 the deep floor to ceiling shelves were fantastic for storage but were stained a strange orangey pine colour. Some years ago DH set on to paint them cream but ran out of steam and the top two shelves didn't get finished. They all now look grubby, its a tricky job and I can't say it's something I really enjoy doing but it needs to be done.
Second coat of paint to go on tomorrow. I have also made an attempt to sort the big box of birthday gift bags, padded envelopes, files and folders that I seem to have acquired. Why I have so many of these things I just don't know.

So much has been happening here that I got myself really confused with how many days have gone by. The sofa delivery has been confirmed and I still need to paint the living room. No paint even ordered yet, so I must do that tomorrow. I helped both my mother and daughter separately - cleaning etc. Productive and satisfying but I've also been to the gym three times and feeling worn out.
So sorry to hear about your car Valli and hope you are all okay.
Managed to clean the living room window the other day, and it makes such a difference. And I'm trying to put things away/do things where it takes less than a minute to do. As a result the house is feeling tidier. This coming week is going to be hectic, but when its done I'll be looking at joining in with the flylady activities much more.

Glad you and friend are ok Valli, but a nuisance all the same.
A rather chilly but very pretty lake swim this morning; sunny but a biting wind.
Went to Mr L on the way home.
Intended to sow my new seeds and plant up the hanging basket outside the porch but by the time I'd had lunch then fallen asleep in the conservatory it had started raining. Did more 'car research' on the web instead.
Small amount of knitting done.
Various bits of tidying as lots of items seemed to be in the wrong room, so I wandered round from room to room putting them back.
Went to an interesting event this evening - "I am Mark", a professional storyteller/actor telling/acting the Gospel of Mark pretty much word for word. Amazing how he could remember it all (well, 13 chapters anyway).
Must remember the clocks change so instead of our 11am church service in the village school, it's united benefice in the next village at 10.30 which of course is really 9.30. I'll never get that right!
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.8
