I've just realised I added Tuesday's post in last week's thread - it was a busy day 😛. I managed a downstairs hoover today, fluffed up the sofa cushions, and finished sorting out the pile of paperwork ready for the bin. Really pleased to have my paperwork in order again - its so great to be able to easily find a document instead of sorting through two drawers full of paper.
Also managed to dispatch an item on Olio. I feel like I can see an ever so small glimmer of light at the end of the long tunnel. Few jobs to do tomorrow on top of another full day at work - wish me luck.

Morning everyone
Lovely sunny start here, the WM was set to start at 5am so it is whirling away, will put another load in on a quick wash when it's finished.
Working from home this morning then taking Mum to hospital. I met up with my SIL at the weekend and she was full of cold, I am now starting with it. Found some Vcks First Defence in the bathroom cupboard so hoping that does the trick.
I am working on little chunks of Flying as and when I can which I know does work, it's just being motivated to do it. Like Sandyshore I am also working on sorting paperwork.
Yoga next then on with the day.

Afternoon all
Been to CS and dropped off lots of DVDs - they sell them 3 for £1, the worktop saver I never used because it's glass and I worried it would break - worry gone! and a few other bits. Banked work (vol job) takings and changed 2 bags of copper into £ coins (mine). Popped onto S@vers for bargains - it was rammed!
Pegged out washing before I went out; it's almost dry - such a contrast from yesterday's weather.
This afternoon I want to box up the Wii and I am debating whether to clean my car or do something else.

Valli, I have been debating whether to clean my car for about a month. I am still finding “better” things to do.
My flying oomph disappeared today. I put a load in the wm but as it was so cold I hung it indoors.I spent a couple of hours at the allotment, came home in sunshine so the washing has been pegged out. I have spent the afternoon faffing in the gh and garden, while DH built his new cd shelving. Rolling my eyes. I was builder’s mate for a short time. Mr M is due to deliver in a while, then that will be my flying attempts done for the day.

Valli and Fayolle I took our car to the fancy car wash. I took 2 of my grandchildren with me and they thought it was amazing 🤣 so it resulted in a very clean and shiny car with 2 very excited grandchildren - win/win.
A good day for admin today, particularly organising my dad's paperwork ready for 2026/7 and shredding out of date papers. I also hemmed a new pair of joggers for him. I need to remind myself that I am the Chief Administrator for my household and my dad's household.
I also cleaned and organised my kitchen shelf where I keep herbs, spices, sauces etc. I do NOT need to buy any curry spices for quite a while!

I cleaned the car inside and out. Checked oil, topped up screenwash. In other news, not unrelated, I found my lost pair of reading glasses.
I have been to outswim cancer.
I have updated my herbs and spices list and am about to discover if smelly OOD spices deter mice.
DW and WM locked and loaded.

The week has gone by with basics done as regards flying and exercise, other than Monday when I though I'd finally caught Mr N's cold and gave myself a day off everything; however either that worked or it has dissipated anyway. Mr N is now fine after his antibiotics.
Today we had the sad phone call from Mr N's friend A to say that M had passed during the night; they were in the same bedroom but she didn't wake him, so assume went in her sleep which is a blessing for her but must have been terrible for him. We, and their other friends we've relayed the news to, are feeling it is rather surreal and in shock despite knowing her death would be imminent. I feel rather bewildered as Mr N had 3 main friends from his teenage days when I first met him; all of their wives have now passed and 2 were younger than me.
I've just finished another pair of gloves, these destined for my Mum so am about to wrap them so I can post them with her Easter card on my way to the MOT tomorrow. Very tempted to look at electric cars while I'm in there!
