Nationwide New Look

The obvious answer is to offer people alternative presentation layers, or one layer with as many columns as the user wants to toggle-on/off as they wish.
No-one else has mentioned that the new layout does not differentiate between taxable savings and ISAs - which it did previously. I fully anticipate within the year multiple complaints from people who have either inadvertently removed funds from an ISA or added funds taking them over their limit.
Well done to the boys and girls at Nationwide for taking something that wasn't broken and deciding to fix it.

The local branch manager will have zero control over any of this - just send feedback to NW using their portal or email, they will likely ignore it but it's more constructive than telling a member of staff who isn't in their IT team
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

This is VERY important and ive been into my local ranch to try to leave comment on this new look, like most site d3signers they have NOT taken into account the needs of those of us who are dyxlexsic. The new look for me is almost unusable, again those who design sites that look like this assume we are work8ng from multi screen workstations where information can be spread out, not a single screen. I agree with the comment of leaving the toggle awitch so the 'old' look can still be accessed. I suspect though that wont happen because the real reason behind this change is to save the bank money because of course they are destitute an dont make enough proffit. Nationwide please listen to your customers and not go down tgis route, remain different from the other banks, your care in this field is why most of us bank with you, please dont ruin that. A final comment,i find it both astonishing that there is no feedback to the new look opertunity and that the new look isnt first a beta style arrangement where tweeks can be made.

This is my area. Web dev/design
What's wrong with the new look?
I've not taken a look at the site but will at some point (when it's a bit cooler!) if it's something I can see - don't have an account with them

don't have an account with them
It is the web-based online banking site, so you won't be able to see it unless you have an online profile you can log in to.

Why do I have to click on a cheque to see the cheque serial number now?
(I know, I know, who pays by cheque these days?)

It is a slightly clunky UI, everything is a bit oversized and dumbed down, but no issues from a usability/accessibility issue.

What's the particular issue? If it's that you find debits and credits are easier to read when they're shown in separate columns have a look at Lloyds/BoS/Halifax (see up thread).
