Well said @beanielou 💔
Work today, and nothing spent. As usual I have lost track of the number of NSDs though 😂
Very cold and windy here, and we had lots of rain overnight. Hope it warms up a bit soon!

A tiring, painful but quietly satisfying day. I was ready quite early, waiting for the time slot for requesting my repeat prescription items. Phone said it the battery was low bt my credit had come through (delay because of switching to dd). Placed the call and reached the pharmacy but the battery died before anyone answered.
Put both phones on to charge. Did a very self-indulgent order (diy Mother's Day) including an Indian meal for 2, carnations to go with my roses, lamb leg chops for a Sunday roast and a carrot cake (all of those were in the 50% off offer). Checked bus times whilst eating my lunch and walked slowly to the bus stop. Glad I'd got the timing right because the 2 bus shelters had been removed whilst they do that phase of the Town Centre renovations. I sat on my walker, waved the Bolton bus past (he was in the wrong lane to stop and trying to manoeuvre in traffic) and my bus was next. Stopped at the traffic lights so I had time to check the number and get up from my walker. Had to use the bus as I had no phone to call a taxi. (Ankle needs strapping up)
Got off at the Infirmary, walked slowly to the pharmacy and ordered repeat meds. Asked if they had support bandages and crepe bandages. Bought 2 crepe bandages but they only had the wrap around supports and I have some of those (probably upstairs, will ask DS3 to look for them). Went upstairs to my doctor's surgery and booked an appointment with the practice nurse. I asked for a double appointment as they were originally for my diabetic review, pills review and mental health review and I need to vent (think if I get everything out, then I'll be able to get it straight in my head and then action plans will start to fall into place). Receptionist said would I prefer to see the doctor but I think the nurse will be better. Explained about the folic acid deficiency and then the cut off and the 'just eat broccoli' advice (whilst being ill for weeks on end, hardly able to stand up and not wanting to cook or even think about food). Receptionist suggested I could speak to their care support worker who would do a home visit and put me in touch with sources of support - going to think about that and talk to the nurse about it.
Went back to the bus stop (3 stops as I crossed the little car park) and only waited 5 minutes for the bus. My ankle was hurting badly so I abandoned thoughts of getting off at the community shop or of going to the end of the line to Morries SM. Wanted to get off facing where I'd got on but that was blocked off (renovations) and I had to get off at the bus station. As I was so near I walked through the bus station to the hairdressers to see if they could 'squeeze me in'. Had to wait 29 minutes but I'd taken my book so it was fine. Not sure about the cut but it's a proper cut and I was getting annoyed with it and would have attacked it myself in a day or two. I love the back but not sure about the front - it's just different. However it only cost £15 (last time it was £33 I think - I nearly fell over).
From there I turned left and went in the Mall to buy baby's first birthday card (plus a badge with a one on it and a pink cone hat with pink and white pompoms), then through the market (stalls all closed up) as the quickest way to B00ts. Lots of shops were closed up and B00ts was too (staff still inside but the door closed off) so no support bandage or cohesive bandage. I got some from the pound emporium last time but had had to choose to go towards that shop or B00ts. Very slow walk home, waited for 3 turns at the traffic lights sitting on my walker doing ankle exercises and had another few stops on the way home. I've been resting on the bed ever since (I have a sandwich and drinks)
Grateful for getting things done (lots ticked off my list), hair properly cut and a new cache of films to watch (or listen to in the background) mainly from the sixties.

That’s a great many things ticked off your list.
Really good idea to talk to the support worker.

Beware the Ides of March. But only if your name is Julius and your best friend is called Brutus 🤣
Life has been pottering on. A little work, some gym trips , popping in to liddle, embroidery, a steak meal out with a couple of friends ( cost £175 - eek - but we had a voucher for £100, so it ended up being good value 🤣), laundry, dusting, reading, life admin…
Today I am grateful for daffodils and hyacinths and cherry blossom and magnolia trees and forsythia for their vibrant colours, for getting all caught up on the rugby, for a lovely mother's day present from dh, for my niece getting safely home after 7 weeks in Thailand, for our washing machine so I'm not facing a never ending pile to wash by hand.i

Hellooo, hellooo, can anybody hear me?! Sorry I've been absent for a couple of weeks. I've been so tired & run off my feet with sewing jobs. With usually posting before I go to bed, this has meant I've not posted at all!
Have had the inspectors in at school, but they're not coming back, so must be doing ok 🤞As mentioned above I've been snowed under with sewing, so stopped taking any more in whilst I caught up. Getting there now. Finished a knitted gonk commission yesterday, to look like someone's son. Will try & post a photo, but might not work! The gonk is hat-less but has hair in a man-bun 😀
Trying to go for more walks after work, now that it's getting lighter, & have pottered in the garden twice too.
Grateful for getting more active, making more decisions about DS1s headstone & my counselling has started

@Thrifty_Taylor - The Gonk turned out really well. I would love to get to that stage of knitting. Working on it, but it is going to take awhile.
