A quietly satisfying day. Mrs Builder messaged to ask if she could come this afternoon and I said yes. Meanwhile I worked on the rubbish and recycling. I went outside in the gentle sunshine. I did a couple of trips to the bins, walked to the end of the backs to bring back the bins that had been collected. I had to sit on the concrete block before making the return journey and the second time my neighbour came out to bring it back for me.
He asked me what to do about his rubbish (he's just put out a 2 part cream couch). He used to use his van but it's died on him and he's not getting another. I explained the bulk waste collection scheme. He only really has the couch and a small drawer unit so he might add some of the items from number 2. I said the couch needed to be covered up so I've lent him my holey tarpaulin.
He admired my garden and offered to help me with it.
Mrs Builder came and did the kitchen and shower room. She took some of the rubbish bags from me and helped sweep up the front room, so it's safe to walk across again. I had done a lot of it, including moving the little table to get everything out. I managed to scrape enoughmoney to pay Mrs Builder - I was going to go to the cash machine but after collecting the bins that seemed a bit too ambitious.
I've rested this afternoon to stretch my back and ease my ankles and knees. I'm still tired and my shoulders hurt so I'm going to turn off the laptop and read for a while.
Grateful for Mrs Builder, a mostly clean and tidy house and loving being out in the sunshine (before it gets too fierce).

Apologies for not leading the revolution from the front!
I think that I am too comfortable in my current situation to feel any need to move out of my bubble of comfort. Part of that is the years on mse, moving into a life and lifestyle that is fairly frugal yet enjoyable. Possibly a tad dull though?
I also think that v1nt3d is my current spending 'nemesis'. I recognised that I used to spend a lot (for me) in charity shops so I simply stopped going to them very much. But v1nt3d is always there and easy to access. On the other hand, I used my 10% off coupon at liddle recently and saved myself a fair amount on food. Plus I also scored a f+v box, so made tomato soup for lunch today, and plan to do red pepper soup and broccoli soup too.
Therefore I think (I'm doing a lot of that!) that I should get myself another bank account and start saving for something. Like going to Chile and walking in the Andes. Maybe not the whole length though 🤣
Jigsaws instead of tech sounds a great idea, Thrifty_T.
The crocuses and snowdrops have been and gone. The daffs and hyacinths are in full bloom. The tulips are getting ready to flower. And the stickyweed is rampant!!!

Good morning, sorry for my absence. Got a cold with what feels like an ear infection. On the bright side. Had a few NSDs. Cuppa and back to bed.
