Can Google Maps display the road speed limit?

It's been really useful. I'm now convinced we don't need any of these new-fangled gadgets. I'll be digging out my 1986 AA map and driving gloves and shall revert to boring people senseless with turn by turn detailed descriptions of the best routes, whether asked for or not.

That's one of the reasons some of us use Waze, you can report errors in their mapping and it will be fixed within a matter of days. Near me a 40mph sign was about 200 yards from where Waze indicated a speed limit change, I reported it and around 2 weeks later it was corrected. The same goes for 20mph zones around schools that are sometimes missing. Neither Waze, nor a traditional satnav, will pick up the speed on variable limits on motorways, my car built-in camera sometimes misses them too… Although it knows the local farmer has a John Deere tractor as it shows a deer symbol whenever it sees a farm tractor sign!

Like others have said, you also need a MK1 eyeball
