Can Google Maps display the road speed limit?

What speed would you assume this is? This is a 20mph and it is torture and compete overkill in my view.

Like any other Midlothian town, it's 20mph (as would have been shown prior to reaching that point), but the image was taken during the rollout of the reduced limit last year so there may well be repeaters and/or painted limits on the road now, as this wasn't an instantaneous process?

It is a ridiculous speed for that type of road. Typical Nationalist government's attempts to make everyone's lives a misery and they keep rolling them out county by county.

You WILL know, because unless the signage is legally compliant, the legally enforceable limit reverts to default - 30 urban (20 Wales), NSL extra-urban.

I'm not sure I'd describe that as a "wee" sign. Looks like a terminal sign to me. (Though I'll agree the council could have done some pruning of the hedge just beginning to obscure it - but it's still clearly visible)

Can you show anywhere else around the B3233 where the speed limit changes without sufficient signage to notify the driver of the change?

No, the signs are clear.

Thanks - I just need to keep it in my head what speed zone I'm in. Regardless of whether I stop at any point. Or stick with 30 until I know better.
