When I requested a withdrawal to my nominated account via secure message, MBS replied to say that as it is a passbook account, I would need to send the passbook along with signed instructions to their Head Office. Were you able to get them to process yours without having to send yours in?

Open an easy access non-passbook account, internal transfer to it and withdraw from there?

Is there a cooling off period with the notice account that would enable you to transfer into it after 12 months in the regular saver, and then quickly change your mind and withdraw online?

I can't answer that question, but I'm wondering why go to all this effort when you can just put the passbook in the post, if you're not near a branch?
