They have previously not picked up on incentives across different brands, so likely to be successful, but certainly no grounds for complaint if excluded.

What would happen if you inadvertently paid more than the monthly allowance into a Regular Saver type account ?

It varies, but most commonly the payment that takes the monthly total over that allowed is returned.

Either the extra funds above the limit or possibly the whole payment complete will be returned to you is the most likely result along with a warning email.

If you continue to do it in other months then the result will probably be that your account will be closed and all funds in it returned to you.

    Co-operative RS

My Co-Op regular saver is due to mature at the beginning of March. Am I correct in thinking that this is one that doesn't allow a 'refresh' / 'renewal' as it only allows one saver per 12 months of current one being opened?

You can just open a new RS once your existing account matured.

Coop are not the quickest at opening new accounts so there is no benefit to trying to close and reopen an account as some here do.

    MANSFIELD B.S.

    MY MILESTONE SAVER 6% QUESTIONS.

I've never opened a savings account by post before, but I am tempted by this one.

So, l initially send off an application form and cheque, then l assume I will receive a physical passbook later.

Once l get the passbook, will l be able to register online?

So will l then be able to fund the account via bank transfer for the rest of the term? Then at maturity, do l get a cheque or will it be possible to send to my own account?

Yes once you get your account number you need to add this manually to your online account (after registration for online access). The account will appear as pending until it's approved, normally takes a day.

Yes you can payin via bank transfer. Credits will show on the following working day.
