Halifax/BoS
Maybe they've cracked down on not opening within 12 months. Same for me with BoS. Thought I'd try it as I had a 5.5% maturing in two weeks.

I've been getting the same error message for 3 years or more. Others have reported the same thing. It seems once you get that message you'll get it each time you try a BoS renewal (at least until they fix the bug).
Phoning them typically gets a response that (paraphrasing) you can't renew that account due to the T&C's.
You might be lucky and your error message is a one-off, but if not you either have to wait for the account to mature or else try your luck phoning them.

Leeds BS RS Branch Postal
I applied via post on the opening day late last week and it's now showing online. I used one of a stash of old prepaid envelopes.
Remember that the account number showing online is ten characters so you discount the final two to enable funding 👍

I thought the same, but, IIRC, selected 'Fixed Term and Regular Savers', then the 1 year option, which then revealed a number of accounts inc. the RS…?
EDIT: This was about 2 hours ago - just checked, and the RS is no longer there - not sure if that's because I already opened one, or because it has indeed been pulled within the last 2 hours?

I just came back to say the same. I tried again, and the 8% RS was indeed listed under the Fixed Term accounts. My bad for not spotting this first time round!!!
I am going to delete my earlier panic post. Apologies to anyone who put their renewal off based on it. It seems still possible but getting riskier by the minute, as they will no doubt withdraw the 8%er overnight at the latest2 -
Lloyds
thanks, just worked for me.

Leeds - I also applied by post on the opening day but used a 1st class stamp so I imagine that the application might have arrived on Friday.
The odd thing is that I was logged into my bank app earlier (setting up the new Darlington SO). On my current account activity list about half an hour ago it said "cheque pending £250" - now I wish I'd screenshot this. Just the one pending transaction - OH also sent his application in the same envelope.
After I'd logged out I remembered that it would be Leeds - so rare now to have a cheque going through …
Logged back in and the pending cheque has vanished. Also logged onto Leeds and no new account showing …

Just done a count up and think my 3 Suffolk Fixed 5%ers will have space for £250 each at month end, so have scheduled a withdrawal from Scottish RS via the app for £750 on 29th September (to allow for any delay before we are into October.) So far so good, can cancel if needed up to 3pm the day before. Can't see it scheduled anywhere but I kept screenshots and wasn't asked for the passbook.
Better to drop 1% for ~3 weeks than wait months before the funds are deployed elsewhere.

Reminder to people who haven't made a note: today is the last day you can close/reopen their Regular Saver if you've not switched to new benefits yet:
From 22 September, you won’t be able to open a new Regular Saver pot once your current one ends.
(Email I got 7th sep)
Personally I'm keeping mine (partly as I still have a 12 month version running till December and partly I'm buying a flat so trying to reduce any financial shenanigans for now to keep my solicitors sane)
Also bit off topic , but has anyone heard what will happen to the other old benefits - namely the direct debit cashback? I'm on the original plan with 2% back on £1500/year but I havent used it yet this year. So my plan is to hold off on new benefits as long as possible so I can do that after the purchase is sorted but thats assuming they don't move everyone over automatically.
