I agree that Leeds BS do need to make some amendments to their product info sheet.
However, regarding your point about the investment limit. Whenever the terms and conditions for a Regular Saver specify a maximum investment, I set up my standing order so that the total number of monthly payments does not exceed the stated limit.
All current accounts offer this functionality, making it straightforward to ensure that the investment limit is not exceeded.

Leeds Branch & Post regular saver
I have just opened this in branch with a debit card deposit, I think it is my first Leeds passbook!
To confirm it is fine to hold this branch regular saver, as well as one of the other regular saver (issues 58 to 81) and the Home Deposit [Regular] Saver.

Leeds have had a branch/post access saver that could be kept with £1, which is how I kept membership.
Edit: it's still around

Skipton BS The Skipton Regular Saver (Issue 2) at 5.25% tracking 1.5% above BoE base rate listed on page 1 of this thread appears to be NLA.
Skipton BS appears to be only offering their member RS at 5.75% 2% above BOE base rate (membership requirement is 30 days) and a Young regular saver at 4.0%
Edit - to add that I opened a Two Access Saver with a fiver 16 days ago.

or if you want to open an account online, and are in a position to do so this year, you could also open an e-ISA with £1 - as a non-member of Leeds and not overly liking passbooks, that might be the path I go down for access to future member accounts.

I've just been on the phone to Leeds BS CS and they confirmed the terms in the product summary of :
''If you exceed the maximum balance the interest rate applied to the whole balance will reduce. The rate will match the variable interest rate of our Access Saver or a similar access account at the time'
Seems fairly harsh, compared to just returning any over funding. I will need to make sure there is a very big reminder to check the balance in the latter months and not over fund as I do manual transfers.
I managed to get CS to send me an application pack, but it was not a simple request. They seem to want people to visit a local branch. However, I did receive confirmation that if the product goes NLA and my application is in the post they would honour.
