Tipton. One of the customer service people I spoke with mentioned 200 App. RS applications. I was surprised it was such a low number.

Changing my password wouldn't bother me either. What does bother me is that I can't change it because the process has been poorly thought out and implemented in a way that prevents me from doing so!

Never had a problem with the salesforce app .i just have to open the phone and the salesforce page is visible and i only have to hit the approval button.
Where as with other auth apps. you have to thumb through to find the spp and then imput 6 digit number which can expire before completetion

It did surprise me that they didn't add the existing customer since December 2025 restriction, since that would have kept applications down (by default excluding anyone who was a new customer when they opened the 125th Anniversary RS.)
They haven't badly written the terms like ESBS, in that the people in charge of the branch/post account shouldn't have needed to say you can/cannot have the app account as well because it wasn't supposed to go onto the app. ESBS had been running a branch version for 6 months before launching the online one, so they should have known the question would arise.
I don't think anyone can complain about an emailed application being rejected, since it never said that email was accepted, only post. Whether they were at some point told no more emailed applications or those who've had an in-time application refused just happened to have their application land on the desk of someone who wasn't willing to make that exception, who knows.
I wasn't 100% about trying the post version as I was in time for an app one, since it would a) mean post and cheques on maturity and b) risk too much maturing next October/November - and we haven't got there yet to know what other 12 month accounts may come along. So all this made the decision for me.
I didn't hear back regarding my request to change my nominated account so just deleted the payee for the 125th and sent £1 to prevent closure for non-funding. Hasn't bounced back so I figure they hadn't got to my message. That I didn't send £200 may work out well on Monday with Progressive, as I can't afford to fully fund both until later in the month.

Progressive. When I logged in today. Every time it tells me underground maintenance.
Regarding password change.
If you use the login button it opens a new page or tab.
After entering WhatsApp code, it wants a new password.
Just close that page or tab, then click login again, lets you straight in.

To be fair, only the branch/postal version has been archived.
The app version is a word document copied & pasted and posted by another user.
In regards the branch/postal version, it does say the account name is "Save & Grow Regular Saver" and that "Only one account can be opened per customer."
Even if the app version was called "Save & Grow Regular Saver (Mobile App Account)" as a headline, you may struggle to successfully argue that is a different account, because within the blurb it is simply referred to repeatedly as the "Save & Grow Regular Saver" and again that "Only one account can be opened per customer.".
Perhaps someone who managed to open the account via the app and has got access could clarify what the account is actually called within the app.

"Save & Grow Regular Sav (App)" is what is displayed in the Tipton app
