I had 2 RSs with Progressive and both times the maturity procedures were exactly what it says on the tin. Very straight forward. I left £1 in one of them, so I don't need to go through signing up process again if they offer a competitive product.

You can also get them to send you the login code via email instead of whatsapp or using an authenticator. Just call them and they can do it at their end and overwrite the rule.

Me too. I did the 4.15% version at £10 per month so no reason not to do the 5%, which will also be an overflow account until the end of the year as there are a lot of maturing RS. I currently hold four RS at 5% anyway, one of which will probably be fully funded by month end. 5% beats my Skipton Easy Access account whereas the previous issue did not.
Prize draws constitute a special condition for which to go below my usual cut off. Nothing on two issues of Nationwide Start To Save or two issues of Coventry Sunny Day, so our luck's got to change some time, right? 😅

I emailed application form yesterday but received email this morning saying:
“Thank you for your interest in our Save and Grow account.
We are unable to send or accept application forms by email.
Should you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.”
I have posted form on the off chance they accept it.

Tipton Save & Grow Reg Saver
This is the reply I got this morning for my email application (although my postal application I suppose is still with them somewhere….) having got the app version on the 1st day.
However, since Day 1, I keep getting this issue when trying to open the app:

Last time it was 8 characters. Don't know why they need change of password every time I login, but it doesn't bother me because I only login to open an account, withdraw and occasionally to check if the deposits are showing.

This is a bit naughty - they seem to be making up T&C's and rules not to open on the hoof.

Now I'm even more annoyed that I didn't spot the app version before it went NLA, the standard drill, Ts&Cs have been archived, you can only go off the information made available to you at the time of application, it is reasonable to assume these are two separate products, nothing in the Ts&Cs prevented you from opening both, to deny you an account under those circumstances would, I would argue, be a breach of the FCA's clear, fair and not misleading rule, thus you've grounds for a complaint.

Well I'll guess they are a bit up the creek at the moment. It looks from earlier replies on the thread that the general release on the App to all that late afternoon was in error.
So now they have x thousand legit app accounts opened which they are going to have to honour: far more than if it had been limited to branch, existing customers or post code location only. Given that regular savers due to their high interest will be a loss leader that means the Tipton is going to have make provison for paying a lot more people interest at 6.5% than they expected. Making provison in the money markets for the future payments to us becoming due is going to cost them so I can quite see why they are going to want to try any means at all to restrict opening anymore accounts and to stop the email application route.
Anyway the whole thing branch and app has been taken off the website now, and I reckon they will be looking very closely at the postmarked date on the envelope of any posted in application to see whether they have valid grounds to reject.

Tipton. One of the customer service people I spoke with mentioned 200 App. RS applications. I was surprised it was such a low number.
