The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread

I would leave as is, and in my experience they will pay interest on your daily balance. In the unlikely event they don't like it, they will tell you. Up to you, obviously, whether you want to contact them to discuss. I wouldn't bother.

Vrigin. Have we managed to crash the application or is it just me getting the error message?

Looks like we’re out of luck with Saffron this year, they’ve launched some Members’ Month fixed rate bonds instead.

No "special" regular saver this year, and the other offerings are pretty underwhelming for me
I'm going to continue leaving £100 in my My Saver account to keep my membership alive.

Virgin RS issue 7
I got an error message at first attempt (circa 30 minutes ago) - tried again, and it worked second time round.
However, still not getting a COP match from Bank of Scotland…?

Virgin RS7
I haven't had a COP match from Santander and it's been about 90 minutes.
I've worked around it by transferring to my Virgin CA first and then to the RS7
(Good timing as my Virgin CA is due to be switched out on the 3rd!)

Thanks - wondered if it was just Bank of Scotland being slow.
Went ahead anyway, and money arrived instantly.

Can anyone remind me, did they not have had or still have an offer where you get a high paying savings account when opening a curent account?
I just had to complain earlier as I wanted to close down my Everyday Saver my previous regular saver morphed into. Was advised to use the form, even though it said on the header current accounts. I tripple checked all my data I put into the form and earlier today I got an email from Nationwide that they were unable to close it, apparently they can't find the account.
The last time I wanted to close down a regular saver (the one that paid interest quaterly), they closed my current account instead of the regular saver. I did get some healthy compensation and was assured that they would remove a hard search from my file if I open a new current account. So far there was no need for it but getting access to the reg saver, I would need a new current account and pick up on the previous issue for them to remove the hard search in the credit file.
Before I go ahead, I just wanted to check if I am elegible for any other offers they my run, switch cash, etc.
Can anyone remind me please?
EDIT: All resolved by calling them.
