In case this had escaped anyone's notice, Hanley's Smart Saver (TAR10) pays out interest on 31/8 as well as maturity. A nice chunk of interest landed in my account this morning.

I was actually wondering about this — as far as I can tell from my own saved copy of this account's summary box, the "maximum balance" of this account is £3,600. So does this mean that the final payment into this account might need to be £300 (ie., the max monthly subscription) minus the amount of interest that was paid into my account on 31/08? And/or am I missing something obvious (always possible!)? :P

I'd guess at badly written terms, I can't think of any account where it transpired that the allowed monthly pay in had to be reduced by any interim interest.

Maximum balances are stated so as to say no 13th payment if the account has been fully funded.

Yes. I have had my SO (sent before 1am) returned to my bank account. Have re-sent the funds manually at 7am and almost immediately showing as credited at Ecology Online. Must be that their computer is working on GMT so that payments sent after midnight but before 1am today were treated as paid in August,
