Just in case there’s now anyone else left with an old Halifax RS: as long as you still have a working Halifax login, you can replace it with the 8% in minutes. After renewing to an Everyday saver, you just log out and log in again, and you can then apply for the 8% one. No need to wait for a day. Though if you prefer, you can obviously leave it until next day, and hope your login will still be working then.

Monmouthshire RS
OK, this is weird.
My RS matured last Saturday. On Friday I withdrew £11999. On Saturday, following maturity, I decided to use the closing balance to open a new Iss 8 RS, £500 pcm, 6%.
When I opened the App Exclusive RS Iss 1 a year ago, I accidentally opened two accounts. Knowing that you can only have one account, I never funded the second one.
On Saturday, when I applied for the new RS in the app, it said my account was open and gave me the account number. I transferred the closing balance into it, not realising that the account number it gave me after applying for a new account was the second AERSI1 that I accidentally opened (but never funded) a year ago.
So I now have a newly funded Issue 1 account with just short of £500 in it, with an interest rate of 7%.
Looking back at the T&Cs for the Issue 1 account, the 12 month term starts from the day you first fund the account.
Just wondering whether to stay under the radar and only fund it with £500 a month, or max it out to £1k!

The Monmouthshire app was glitching this time last year when the launched it. I too have had two App Exclusive Issue 1s. One matured at the weekend, and my other fully funded matures the middle of next month
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -

Wolf/lamb.
Don't imagine that £500 is further down the radar than £1k.

Yes, already had Halifax RS and was also offered Lloyds RS in the Lloyds app when I switched.

Nationwide Flex Regular Saver. Can anyone confirm/deny if this account allows a 13th payment to make a maximum balance of 2600 please.

Yes, Nationwide RS allows 13th payment. I always had £2600 balance at the end of 12 months.

i'm in the exact same boat as @surreysaver - app crash during opening, two accounts - though I didn't fund that second account until a month later - I assume there was a discussion about doing this in the old RS thread at the time - both accounts now have £12k in them, so if it were me, I would just continue funding the full £1k a month until maturity.

Yes, mine does as well, although also didn't proceed.

I had a similar glitch after I closed my issue 8 and tried to open a new issue 8 in the app. It said my application was successful and have me an account number which I wrote down. I could not see a new account in the app so gave it a day. When I looked the next day there was still no new account there but I realised the account number it had given me for the new account was actually the account number of my fully funded exclusive issue 1 account which is due to mature the end of this month. So I just applied again and a new issue 8 was opened without any problems.
