AIB Regular Saver Account Paying 6%. Y Based on the information on their website, it could be open 'online' or via Branches. You could pay up to £500 a month, easy access. It sounds very attractive, eye catching. But here is the catch.
I just queried this RS to their CS. You could open it online only if you already have an online banking access. alternatively, you will need to apply via their branches.
So for many people it literally means Branch only or for existing customer.

Manchester BS RS2
Interesting deposit confirmation Email from them; it tells me that I can "make unlimited deposits up to £500, each calendar month" .
However, I don't think that I can ! ... I think that someone has done a copy/paste from the RS Version 1 Email(s).

Also, ambiguous wording. Unlimited deposits of £500 each, or (more likely) totalling £500?

The comma at least separates the "each" from the preceding phrase, and the "up to" is just missing the implied "a total of".

Manchester and Newcastle
Both accounts opened within minutes. CoP for both working fine from Santander. I have sent my deposits, though they might not credit until Monday now, so may be I should have been more patient.
I couldn't see anything about maximum total deposits across their respective Regular Savers, but admit I only skimmed the T&Cs. So if there is a limit, I will cross that bridge when/if they tell me I have deposited too much.

Manchester and Newcastle credit at weekends, so they should both be showing as credited tomorrow if you've missed today's cut off
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?3 -
Regarding Manchester regular saver issue 1 - I've not had Manchesters before so I am not sure of the procedure.
My maturity date is 27th of September and it is already at the £6K balance - just pondering if its possible to close issue 1 now - would the full interest be paid up until now.
Then could I reopen issue 1 while its still available and so get another 2 years of issue 1 - would I be able to reopen Manchester 1 immediately. I am worried that if it takes time that issue 1 might go NLA . Or that the system might pick up that I've just opened issue 2 and only one regular saver is allowed…

I think they will credit before Monday, most likely today. My monthly deposit to Newcastle Monument RS was sent last Saturday and was credited on that day.

Ecology BS
Thinking longer term and how to keep a relationship with Ecology, I looked at other accounts on offer, that could be used a membership retainer. Their Easy Access accounts have a minimum balance of £25 and state that the account will be closed if the balance falls below this. The RS terms state that if the RS matures it will become and Easy Access account. Interestingly the minimum balance of the RS is £10. So in a matured RS will the minimum balance increase to £25 ?
Also, I was pleased to see that Ecology have opened a branch in Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) :
And Ecology have Easy Access accounts supporting the RCT community :
