All working again, very dramatic at the time - I wonder if Principality are setting up a new regular saver - my mother always said I was lived in a fantasy world …

Just doing a bit of admin housekeeping. By the start of August there was only just enough money to cover all of the regular savers standing orders. Not wanting a repeat of this drama at the start of September it was time for a cull as I needed to reduce the number of regular savers - ideally those with an interest rate of under 5% needed to go - thus also reducing the amount needed for the start of the month standing orders.

I've closed the Leeds regular savers, just waiting for the cheques to arrive. Also Principality regular savers 36 and 37 were closed yesterday and the residue arrived this afternoon - the accounts were only a few months old. All the surplus now in Chase until needed at the start of September.

There are a couple of Principality 6 month savers maturing on the 12th and OHs Zopa later in the month so that's almost the target needed … small amount still left in Leek and Stafford … but possibly I need to see what else I can remove money from without the need to close …

Yes I know that I dont need to fully fund everything every month and some allow missed months … but I've always fully funded …

anyone else received an email from Teachers BS today about the reference used in a payment this month? I was still using the REGxxxxx number and whilst they say the last payment has been successful, they want the account number used as the reference in the future… just a heads up to others who might have done the same.

    Monmouthshire 6% RS:

Hi - short and sweet question about Monmouthshire RS - apologies - as I was reading through the pages the other day/week, I did briefly scan-read that someone had issues with having "multiple" versions of the 6% account which caused an issue now their accounts were coming to mature - I think it may have been "not being able to open a new RS" - sorry I can't remember exactly.

So - is it true that if you have any remaining "6% RS" (multiple accounts) you won't be able to open another new 12-month RS (6%)?

So - next question - my position is I have FIVE of those multiple accounts - not deliberately - just caused by the original issues of website/app etc.

I have funded only TWO of them - one matures in a few days and the other (originally funded a few weeks later) matures in mid-Sept. The others have never been funded.

So could I fund these other ones - and therefore start a 12-month period? Therefore, depending on my spare cash (which isn't much) I therefore wouldn't need to open a "new" one?

    Many thanks.

I must be special, Teachers BS phoned me instead to tell me not to use the REG number as the reference.

    Zopa app update

@poblomov Was this Android or IOS?

Either way, I have just updated my Zopa app on Android to version 2.0.4.12366 and I still can't open a RS.
