FWIW. My notes for Darlington say "does not give max bal so try 13th payment". And for Virgin say "13 ok"

Anyone had this enforced by Santander's systems?
I was sure I saw a post in this thread that you can pay in on 1st of each subsequent month regardless of opening + 1st pay-in date in the 1st month… so I opened and paid 1st in on 30/06 and 2nd in on 01/07… is this certain to be "cancelled"?

You can, but you're taking a risk by having done so. The T&Cs state:
A ‘month’ is calculated by the date that you open your account. For example if you open the account on the 16th of a month, your month will run from 16th of one month to the 15th of the next month.
We can switch your account to an Everyday Saver if you break the terms of this account. For example, if you try to pay money in from an account that isn’t your Santander current account, or if you deposit more than £200 in any month.
Note there is no "try" in relation to being able to deposit more than £200.

AIB
One of the requirements for this account is to have "a regular savings instruction to debit between £10 to £500 per month from a AIB (NI) Select Account or Current Account"
Hadn't enough funds in my AIB account to make the deposit to this RS. I transfer £10 by SO and £490 manually each month.
What happens in this case? Can I top up the RS myself manually with another £10?Anybody else had this happen?

Well frank, Principality did not withdraw their one year product and replace with one for 6 months while also switching it from fixed rate to variable. Feel free to explore loopholes at Zopa. I don't have any jokes about the colour, but it is green also. Feel free to also share jokes, or we can all just get on.

I suppose, though I prefer 7.1% to be the backbone of the RS strategy than a stopgap 😂

Principality
As it stands now, there's nothing on RS side worth opening, never mind multiples. I still have 2 6Ms and 2 Christmases running, have £1 in issue 38 and the same in Bonus-5-Access. Since the loophole was properly closed my list of Principality accounts has significantly shrank. I hope they will come up with some competitive products again, in the past they always had something on offer… in any case, I think the "multiples" time is now over😀

Yes I was referring to thefrank's comparison of Zopa's new 6-month disappointment with the titillating Principality offerings of the past.
Neither institutions current offerings would tempt me, even if I was looking for new RS to open.

Darlington issue 2
I now realised I was looking at issue 1, I don't have a copy of issue 2. Looks like it is worth trying 13th payment.
