You can empty your 5% account and then ask Sandi to close it. It can take a couple of days for them to action the request, and pay the accrued interest into your current account. Once this has been completed, you can open the 8% one, provided it is still available.

Does anyone know how quick withdrawals are from Darlington? Need to empty it to fund higher paying accounts. Thanks.

Reviewing my RS
Have the Principality of year bonds (36,37,38) - they aren't great interest wise now. Is it easy enough to close with Principality?
Considering closing my Suffolk RS too. What are they like to deal with when closing?0 -
Virgin RS3 maturity
I have, on my spreadsheet, that this was due to mature on the 30/6.
Looking back at my transactions the first was 1/8. I have a total of £2750 in it.
Anyone else the same or have I made an admin mistake?
TIA

"Only one Loyalty Regular Saver (any issue) per person can be held at any one time."
My existing one matures later this month so hopefully will be a maturity option at that time. I'm sure others are in the same boat.

All the regular savers I have with Suffolk have to run their full term, mine are all fixed rate savers. Maybe yours is different?
Whilst we're on the subject of Suffolk BS, credit to them; Royal Mail finally delivered their application form to me yesterday, 30th June. I emailed it to Suffolk marked urgent and they opened the account and informed me within a couple of hours to enable me to make a deposit in June. I don't know why I'm so excited as the interest rate is the same (5%) as my cahoot sunny day saver! But the rate is secured until August next year.
