That sounds remarkably like you might have a chance of receiving an extra payment to make up for the worry, stress, unsatisfactory way it's been dealt with, their chance to show how sorry they are type of compensatory sweetener that goes with these sorts of errors. 😁😁😁😁

Monmouthshire - how quick are withdrawals/closures? I may have to empty the 6% regular saver to fund other higher-paying accounts.

Have you run the numbers? Those MonBS accounts are at max earning power for another few weeks - does that make less money than feeding some higher rated accounts?

I did this already and got funds in my bank same day
If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids

I've had a quick crunch of the numbers and I reckon it makes sense to withdraw from the 6% account to feed others between 6.5% and 7% which have longer to run.
It's been a low-earning month, and I've already emptied the Santander Edge Saver.

If Virgin Money's previous activity is anything to go by I would speculate that their Regular Saver at 6.5% may go NLA today. It could be worth opening it if you haven't done so already.

Present Virgin money RS matures 30/7/27 ie 1 years time . Hopefully they will offer another one tomorrow at the same rate at least. My RS matures at the end of next month I think - first payment went in 1/8/25 so 12th payment goes in tomorrow. It doesn`t look as though there is enough time possible to make 13 payments? Only one RS at a time. Have others closed theirs down and reopened a new one immediately? Or is it best to let it run to maturity and hope a new one is then available.
