Anybody tried sending £1 first or is everybody sending the full amount?
They do suggest the minimum opening amount is £250 - so sending £1 risks this being returned. TBH I didn't think it was worth taking the risk of having a payment returned and having to send it again. Particularly as they also say the account won't be available/visible until the first deposit has been made, so sending £1 to verify the account before sending the rest won't work if you've not met the minimum deposit requirement for the account to show up in their online platform.
I also got a message from them in the account page asking for a statement or cheque to verify that the bank account I added was in my name. They
said they would send this back. I just replied back and attached a statement.. Anybody else has this?Yes, but I'm going to wait until things have settled down before contacting them about it. I fear though that although the email doesn't say it, it may be the requested proof will be required in order for the account to be added on the online platform.

The same. 5% is below my minimum cut off of 5.5% but I will probably open with £1 to fill a gap if it is still available. Maybe it’ll end up being one of those accounts that never sees much funding, who knows. Given the rate is the same, it’s more attractive than the 6 Monther it replaced.

Teachers 6.5% RS - in answer to a few questions.
Once I had the details (sort code and account number plus my own personal payment reference) I send £250 which was just after 5pm on the 2nd June.
It wasn't until this morning (5th) that I could see my £250, and everything now looks in order, and the £250 is dated as having been deposited on the 2nd.
I haven't yet had any request for any proof of … well, anything really, including whether or not I am a teacher which I find quite bizarre but they have emailed to say that my letter is in the post (it states that this will happen somewhere during the application process) so maybe there will be a request for more information when that arrives.
Hope this helps!

I've received both welcome emails for both RS this afternoon. Funds sent as per the email with emailed references applied. I'm expecting to see the accounts and funds in my online portal early next week.

RE: Principality BS 1 Year Regular Saver Bond (Issue 38) at 5%
After a bit of deliberating, I've bitten the bullet. Don't need to do much other than keep £1 (the minimum balance) in it, and see what happens with the market.

Principality 1y 5%
I had issue 36 (4.85%). I opened issue 38 and transferred balance £1.02 from issue 36. It is very unlikely that I will fund this account any time soon, but it might become useful at a later stage of the term, you never know. Whatever happens next with interest rates £1 will earn its well deserved 5% AER😀

Teachers 6% account passed COP today using the temporary account reference - details received on Wednesday so a 2 day wait rather than the usual 1. Funded from NatWest.

I have received login details and successfully logged in. I deposited £250 two days ago. When I login though, I just see a fairly blank screen. None of the other sub menus have any evidence of the account I opened and deposited into. Has anyone else had this?
On Android mobile. Not desktop site.

Yes, no sign of the deposit I sent to Teachers 3 days ago
