I seem to have adopted a 1970's style 3 day week and didn't do very much on Thursday and yesterday. As a child in the 70's I thought that the idea of a 3 day week seemed like quite a nice option - less school, more time to play. I was unaware of the economics of all the unrest but I do remember the power cuts and playing cards by candlelight with cups of tea from a flask.
I'll do a quick tidy round and PUPA 10 things and change the bedlinen. Now I've written it down I will have to do it.

Blackcats when we first moved into our house there was a problem with the rural power line and power cuts were fairly common. It used to feel like a bit of an adventure but our oil heating system needs electric to run the pump so in winter it was freezing!!
I was quite productive yesterday, today we went out for a walk and have been lazy since we came back. DH did the grocery shop while I did my Saturday volunteering. Bedding and towels have been washed and put over the airer. I must tackle the grout and tiles in the bathroom tomorrow.

Hello All,
Firstly Round I'm so sorry for your loss.
For some reason I still can't write a single word in bold.
Stressful week with family problems so I've been lurking but not doing.
It's so dark and rainy here that I've had to keep lights on all over the house.
Anyway, jobs I've done this morning- unloaded DW, reloaded and put back on. One load of washing done which is now on the airer. Cleaned bathroom and done the litter tray, just the floor left to do. Wiped upstairs doors, switches etc and bannister. All bins emptied and cleaned. Stripped the bed and bedding in the WM (it's just finished so will be going in the TD in a bit then I have a load of towels etc to put in.
I've stopped for a coffee and will be decluttering stuff I've recorded (Angus the auction man) while testing a bag of pens I found while sorting a box the other day. Then I plan to restart doing jobs afterwards.

Afternoon all,
Rabbits, rabbits rabbits - I did say it this morning, as my mum always said it had to be before lunchtime. She may have been making that last bit up…
For some reason, I have had a sudden urge to declutter some Stuff. As I keep having to step over a box of my parent’s things, I have started to rationalise that. Some went to recycling, some for shredding, a bag for my sister (she will be so pleased! 😈), some into photo and family history boxes, and the rest back into a much smaller box. Not completely done, but less is better. Mostly I was ok with it all, although the eulogy that I wrote for my mum’s funeral got me, so that went back into the box, no questions. That will probably be the sum total of my flying efforts today. This afternoon I am going to pull back the socks that I started knitting for DD. We both agree that the contrast colour isn’t right, so I need to find another colour and start again. Pleased with tackling a more difficult (by my standards) pattern though. It is so grim outside that I think an afternoon either knitting or in the spare / craft room is defintiley in order. DD is driving off to meet friends for the evening so I will be on tenterhooks until she has arrived safely and again tomorrow when she comes home. Otherwise, the bins are out for tomorrow and it will be door shut and hunker down.Blackcats - I always thought it was exciting in the 70’s having to have a bath and go to bed by candlelight / torch too. I was not so happy about it more recently when, like YL, our rural power used to frequently go off.

Afternoon all.
Wordle in three, all four lines on connections, strand with no hints.
I have walked Poppet twice today, done dailies and made a start on pensions stuff. Next stage will be making some phone calls, probably Tuesday and couldn't check everything as some websites were undergoing maintenance.I was just reading my kindle but it needs charging so I need to find something else to do now.
Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Afternoon all. One washload done and dried. Roast dinner prepared, eaten and cleared away. I made some flapjacks this afternoon because I had some bits to use up. They're just cooling. We had a walk this morning luckily because it's been raining all afternoon. Hope everyone's OK x

I am sorting out the thread for next week but due to this new editor thingy that the site now has I am having troubles with getting it to look halfway decent.
Have no fear it will be there soon

Evening,
Sorry I haven't had chance to pop back in. Lots of hugs go to people who need them
Thursday and Friday were both working days so minimal amounts of flying done. Mostly S/S of kitchen and bathrooms after dinner.
Friday after work was straight into town to pick up my new glasses. Not sure I like the main pair, the VDU ones were the same frame as last time but with a stronger prescription. They were running late (defeats the object of an appointment) which meant I couldn't get any of the other bits I needed.
Up early yesterday to declutter a fortune for dog grooming which meant I could then get ahead on the weekend. Stocked up on lots of food bits I needed and bird food. Sad as we seem to have lost one of our regular doves that laid outside the back gate, even sadder to see its partner alone for its breakfast this morning. Spent far too long in shops looking for bedding and curtains for the new room but I did find 2 cute decorative rabbits in The range that were reasonably priced so got those and have now ordered some adult bedding and Peter rabbit bedding for the kids. Curtains I'm stuck on as I want floor length but cant get the smaller width and the longer length so still need to sort those which is seeming to take hours. Have also ordered new bedside cabinets as have been unable to find anything in the charity shops.
Spent yesterday afternoon and some of this morning finishing the cake topper for the pregnant lady in the team so just need to remember to take it to Sheffield on Tuesday. Its a good job I don't do it for a business, I take so long and try to make everything perfect (it's not) that I would never sell anything.
Bathroom has been properly cleaned this morning and we have decluttered a lovely Wagyu beef roast dinner along with a Willy Willy Shiraz. The rest of the evening will be folding and putting away my laundry which is now on its 3rd and final load.
