I've lost track of which day it is and when I last posted, so appropriate comments to anyone needing encouragement/support etc. But special hugs for Valli, there are few things as painful as constant jaw pain. A couple of hours after I'd had 3 wisdom teeth out many years ago, Mr N had to ring the dentist and say "she's screaming now, can I do anything?".
We had a very successful weekend in Dorset, thankfully before all the rain came. I had a lake swim on Sat am (kingfisher sunbathed near me) then we had a good journey to DB and SIL. After a pleasant evening and overnight with them, I dropped Mr N off to play with BIL while I visited a fairly alert Mum, so that was encouraging. Monday morning's visit to her was also good and, having been using a wheelchair since the debilitating chest infection and UTI, she was on the rollator again.
Less encouraging was a phone call from our Somerset friend whose wife had been noticeably ill when we visited at Christmas. She has now had a C diagnosis, oesophagus. Had a stent put in on Monday which should enable her to eat, then she may get strong enough for chemo. So hopefully Mr N and I can be of some support to the man who's been his friend since they were teenagers.
Flying-wise, we've been mainly moving things around to accommodate a) new kitchen curtains now up and having been shortened by a semi-professional seamstress in the village b) she has now taken one pair of the lounge/diner curtains away to put new eyelets in c) Mr N has been filling in ceiling cracks and painting water stains in the hall (radiator in the room above leaked). So having this, albeit minor, work done has meant moving, tidying and vacuuming in the area.
Other than that, I've caught up with various admin jobs like cc bills, car insurance etc.

Evening all
Not much flying today, but did manage 3xWM and have FUPAd the TD load - the rest hanging up, should dry overnight. Did half an hour gentle gardening.
Went for a longer walk today, around 35 mins, hip still pain free.
Have completed 2 out of the 3 small jobs for the week…

Evening all.
Glad you're feeling better today, Valli x and YL x, and good to hear that you had a good visit to your Mum, Narc0 x
I've had a reasonable day, though it hasn't included much Flying - just WUPA, S&S kitchen and bathroom, FUPA the last of Tuesday's washing, PUPA and quick hoover round the LR. I've started making cakes. I made a list and it is loooooong! 3 for DH's birthday, to share with his fellow wargamers and model railway enthusiasts; 2 for W's birthday; and about 8 for the 'do' at church next Sunday. Of course I have already run our of caster sugar 😲 so I'm going to have to go shopping first thing tomorrow - I might as well get everything that we shall need for next week at the same time, so my shopping list is long too.
I've also managed to declutter a few more family photos. Atm I'm just taking all the "possibly keep" pictures out of the albums, making sure they're dated and putting them in date order into a shoe box. I'll sort them again later for the ones that I might want to keep, and then a third (or even fourth) time to narrow the choice down even more, and I'll save all the ones for which I have no room for my DC This particular album is the most difficult: not just because the pictures have been stuck in with small double-sided adhesive squares which I'm having to scrape off one by one, but mainly because it is the album with all the pictures of my DS3 and brings back so many memories of his short life. However, I feel now is the right time to do it, and I am really enjoying looking through all the photos and recalling places we went and people we knew in the 1980s.
Must get to bed! Sweet dreams to all xxx

Ionafan, I didn't realise you'd lost a child. I'm so sorry. (((Hugs)))

It was a long time ago, HB - DS3 would have been 45 now. He brought us great joy for 2½ years, but was born with a serious heart defect that at that time could not be repaired - with all the new technology, heart surgeons can do amazing things nowadays. My DC and I often speak of him, and my DGC all know about him and have seen photos and his teddy. I shall keep a lot of his photos, but he lives on in our hearts.
I have S&S'd the kitchen, PUPA in the LR, sent Rosie off - very happy - for her walk with L,, wrapped up DH's birthday present and written his card, added to my shopping list, and am about to head off to the shops.
Hope everyone has a great day and is looking forward to the weekend xxx

Morning all
@Narco - can your friend get a dietitian consultation - that's the area DD works in (on the body/those diagnoses I mean). Fingers crossed.
Got my mates coming round for a curry tonight - so I can show off my house/decorating.
WM x 2 TD x 1
I can see that the 'hole' is closing up; the pain is much more localised and much less, thank goodness.
and today I shall be flying like a mad thing, obvs
Hoping your photo sorting brings you joy in the remembering @Iona

Morning all. Wordle in two.
So far today I have walked Poppet, done some paid stuff, checked banking and hoovered through. Apart from putting recycling out all dailies are done.
Having read Ionas post I am now going to make a cake.
