I sorted through the newspapers on the coffee table shelf and gave it a good polish. Houseplants have been tended to and they seemed grateful. Last week's vase of daffodils has now been emptied.
S&S the bathroom and organised the bathroom cabinet. I'm working through stocks of shower gels, shampoos and conditioners which is saving money and freeing up space in the cabinet. Bathroom floor cleaned.
I hope the washing on the airer will be dry enough to put away tonight.7 -
Hope things get better soon Valli, it sounds horrendous x

Be kind to yourself, Valli - I know it's not in your nature to sit still for more than 5 minutes, but rest is what you need right now, so I hope you were able to snuggle up in your favourite chair (or bed) and keep warm for the rest of the day, and will do the same tomorrow xx
I hope that everyone has stayed / will stay safe during the onslaught that is Storm Chandra - thinking especially of those of you up north and in the south-west. We've been really lucky here today: some rain and wind, but not as bad as overnight, and the roads are all clear. We even had a couple of hours of (cold) sunshine this afternoon.
Like Fayolle, I did several loads of washing this morning and used the TD. I still have stuff draped all over the bathroom radiators, but it's nearly dry now. I had a visit from my NNDN this morning - she asked me to scan something and print it for her - and this afternoon I went to knit & natter: there were only three of us there, but no matter, we had a good time and my knitting has grown a bit. I haven't done much else of note.

Late on parade again! Thanks Valli for the list and Natty for last week.
Really hope you feel better soon Valli. I swear dentists these days are all about ripping teeth out and trying to encourage you to have implants. Gone are the days of the independents and in are the the group practices who just want to make money.
This week is slow progress on both the flying and my to do list. It was Grandkiddy day yesterday and they were both totally wired. The little one was buzzing all morning and I finally got some respite when she had a nap but of course once she was up again of she went crazy as h3ll but I wouldnt change her for the world. Bought the curtain pole for the spare room after making an earlier than usual exit and nipping into their local store as i had the car. Job for DH once I decide on the bedding and curtains as they will determine how high the pole needs to be.
I have meal planned this week which makes things a little easier when I do get in from work.
Once dinner is done, evenings this week are designing and making a cake topper for a work colleague next week who is leaving shortly to have a baby. Once its completed, I just need to remember to take it with me to Sheffield on Tuesday. I know crafting take over the flying time but it's my chill thing and down time.
I did however tidy my office/craft room which had been a tip and I had literally resorted to chucking rubbish on the floor as there was so much recycling on top that I couldn't get stuff in the bin. Bin has been emptied, recycling taken out and the scraps of card and vinyl have been tidied away. Still some stuff to sort but better than it was.
Bathroom was S/S'd this morning and kitchen this evening.
Work day again tomorrow but will be my long day WFH with a run to the bank at lunchtime if its dry.
Mortgage, paid off!7 -
Morning all xx
Hope you are feeling better today Valli. Hmmm. Something has changed and I can't type in bold. But I can add a table!!! 🤔 what's that all about?
I'm up, showered, dressed, made my bed etc etc. Struggling with the black dog sniffing round and sitting on my chest. Or is it grief? Early days.
Problems with my prescription. Again. Third month in a row. My medication is in short supply nationwide (why???)and has to be substituted. The first month the Pharmacy did it automatically, but last month I had to request the substitution and the same again this month. Why is nothing ever straightforward any more?
Flying? I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for the paid stuff. Its payday.
Take care
Rxx

one thing at a time ,after all that’s how it went in !7 -
Yup.. my mama has a few of those @roundtuit.. & as SuffolkSue said, deal with one item at a time as that’s how it went in 😉
Hope you’re resting @Valli.. your body has dealt with a trauma, so make sure to give yourself some TLC!
Facial pain sucks big time..😖Take two of shopping for ma and her housework after floods prevented travel yesterday, DS1 couldn’t reach his workplace and Hubster was sticking to jobs in the local area. Ma was happier for me not to venture out as wasn’t urgent. Just hoping it’s calm out there today, peeps were being a little daft with their driving (hubster witnessed a few near misses 😬)
Stay safe please & have a good day 💗

@roundtuit yes, Yes, YES of course!!!
It is possible to highlight words and a mini task bar will appear offering the options to go bold, italic,
strikethrough, 'format as inline code' (what the **** is that about?) or' format as link' (for adding the web address of e.g. a news article or an image saved on Google photos - but it doesn't show up blue and underlined as I type this - maybe it will work in the comment once I've posted it). How horribly complicated.I am still working on decluttering my photo collection, one picture at a time. At this rate it will take me 100 years.
The laundry is dry so will be FUPA after breakfast.
Hope you all have a good day. We have sunshine atm. xxx
