Not much flying done today although I did do a couple of my Saturdailies. Came down this morning to find that Joey, my budgie, had died in the night. 💔
DS came over and helped me to bury him. I've taken everything out of Joey's cage and put them to one side to wash, and, after moving the cage out of the LR, I've hoovered up the seed and feathers that were on the floor.
Lots of tears as he was my little mate. Now feel completely washed out.
I'll catch up tomorrow.

RIP Joey, and enormous (((hugs))) to round. However big or small our animal friends are, and however long or short a time we have them, they always have a special place in our hearts xx
I spent an hour in the churchyard this morning, looking for bids. 2 rooks, 1 magpie and 2 woodpigeons. That was it. There were a couple of little birds in the bushes, but I couldn't see what they were and I didn't recognise their call. The schoolchildren we had invited didn't turn up, so I had only the vicar for company. But at least we had a useful conversation, and we'll try the Birdwatch again next year. On my way home I bought some buttons for the baby's cardigan that has used up about 1/12 of my wool stash. I've sewn them on this afternoon, so it's ready to go, together with the pair of mittens. I bought some birthday cards. I've paid a cheque into my bank. And we watched the Traitors finale.
That's about it for today.!7 -

oh Round that's sad...sending hugs
111 called and I'm MUCH more comfortable, having been diagnosed with an infection. Almost pain free

I'm so sorry Round. It must have been devastating finding Joey this morning. (((Hugs)))Well done on making the call Valli and getting the diagnosis.Yoghurt made, three mini backpacks refolded so they're back in their pouches and sitting at the bottom of my proper small backpack. We went back to the cinema to see a film I knew would be beyond devastating, and it was. Life is very precious and it's far too easy to take it for granted.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7

Oh Round, he was part of our Flylady family, so very sad. Sending love.
DH and I drove to the coast yesterday, parked on the Esplanade in Scarborough and did a 6 mile loop up to the old town, Castle and around South Cliff gardens. It was blummin freezing but we love the history and architecture of the place and always feel a bit sad that there is this odd mix between the slightly run down town centre and places where you see the genteel Victoria past. Like many of our seaside towns I guess.
Then last night out for a curry with some volunteering friends. Came home and started doing that thing where I over analyse everything I said, which I thought I wasn't going to do any more. Easier said that done I guess.
So today I am undecided whether I will go out for a walk with one of our local rambling groups or stay home and potter. I did give our bedroom a really good clean on Friday but there are always jobs to do. I absolutely must update my finance spreadsheets.
Have a good Sunday all xx8 -
Thank you all for your love, hugs, kind words and good wishes. They mean a lot. I am blessed to have my flylady friends in my life.
Family and friends also rallied round with visits and messages. And roses! DS came over after checking that I wanted company and not solitude. He helped me to bury Joey. The first time he's ever dug a hole apparently - I had to smile. And he stayed for lunch.
I did WULTD, feed the birds, and put out the rubbish and recycling, but the rest of the Saturdailies went by the way. So they'll be done today alongside the Sundailies, some of which may become Mondailies. We'll see.
I've completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four , completed Connections with two lives lost; I've taken my meds, and supped a brew.
I'll have a second brew and something to eat, then start the Saturdailies after I've showered / washed my hair. That sounds like a plan.
Love to all.

I've showered, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised and got dressed in all clean clothes.
Brought down the laundry hamper and sorted the washing into loads. First load is swishing.
I fed the birds and put out the recycling.
Coffee now. Join me?
