✔️Bathroom done to an in-between-S&S-and-a-proper-clean standardeltee2 said:Morning all
Another blooming rotten night of no sleep, combination of painful hip and 1,001 things swirling around in my head 😟😫🥱. It's bathroom day for me so will do what I can. Weather is horrible wind & rain together so WM is swishing with stuff which can be TDd. Will do a 2nd load and S&S the kitchen, that'll be it I think.
El
✔️Clean towels & mats put out
✔️2x WM & TD done
✔️FU done, PA later
✔️S&S kitchen done
✔️aired & remade bed
Had a result - LR light hasn't worked for over a year. OH had it on his 'I'll have a look at it later' list (A.K.A. IHALAIL list) Today I casually mentioned getting an electrician in to 'have a look at it'. Hey presto, 15 mins later light has been looked at....... And fixed!!!
Think I'll mention a plumber and carpenter next week for the dishwasher & undersink cupboard door issue, which has been on the IHALAIL list since June 2019.
Worth a try I guess 🤷♀️

Good thinking there Eltee. So the plan today was to carry on with the work I was doing at my desk on my main computer. I got sidetracked and scrubbed the front path in the rain (it's always minging) with a squirt of cleaning fluid I wanted to use up anyway. The rain stopped, so I did too. So I sat at my desk and flashed up the computer which then promptly died on me. I've dusted around it, vacummed the floor under the desk, swapped all the leads around, swapped the main lead for a spare one we had - the thing is dead. Fortunately we have a brilliant computer technical chap who comes to the house and he thinks it's likely to be the internal transformer so he's coming round tomorrow to do a surgical procedure on it. If that fails then he'll take it away to deal with it. *sigh*So in the meantime I've vacuumed and dusted various places and got everything ready to go to the Foodbank tomorrow. There are also a couple of other things I can get be getting on with but it's a bit of a bummer, the main computer being out of action.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7

We've just put Christmas away in the loft! I guess motivation following action works with OH as well 😄"I started out with nothing

Morning all, It's a very wet and stormy day here, currently under an amber warning.
My list for today
Do paid stuff
Attend uni lectures
Do the required work on uni assignment
Look into moving bank account
Empty the bathroom bin
Dust laptop
Delete 10 links in favourites which I no longer use
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.9 -
Afternoon all
Got the house to myself for most of the day, so will be doing an all-round tidy up as I'll probably be out of action for a couple of days after my nuclear-missile guided injection tomorrow 😵💫.
Already have an easy-peasy meal plan in place for a few days - things OH can throw in the oven whilst providing tender, loving care to his one and only 😃
Today's plan
✔️Open windows
✔️Air & remake bed
✔️Exercises
✔️WM x2
✔️TD
DW
S&S bathroom✔️ & kitchen
Dust & vacuum everywhere (not spar oom, which has reverted to RoD)
PUPA
FUPA
Contemplate RoD, then shut the door
Tadpole job...
Declutter another box from CoD...
Completed...
Small jobs I must do this week (SJIMDTW)
Renew mum's GHIC ✔️
Chase up dental appointment✔️
Check if hip injection can be brought forward✔️

Hello.
So far today, paid stuff, dog walk, s&sd bathroom and toilet, wiped all laptops/ phones etc and done most dailies. Admin also done of a fashion.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Eltee, you really are on a roll.
I also have the house to myself so I am buckling down to the long list of admin 🥱. Yesterday I did everything on my list plus cleaned the ensuite.
DD has driven herself to a distant airport and is waiting for her flight. Very proud of her bravery as it was a long and horrible drive. DH is out for the day but I will have to pick him up from small town station later, when I will also run a couple of errands.7 -
Well I have decluttered a damaged tooth but oh! The pain! Didn't want to eat at all last night so that limited me to paracetamol...not that it did much - I'm writing down when I'm taking them but as I managed to pour runny porridge down my throat this morning I have upped the ante with ibuprofen as well...so I'm taking something 2-hourly. It's now MUCH more manageable so I have walked up to the post box to post great-niece's 5th birthday card. I've also taken the washing (and the mouse!) off the maiden for DiL to collect later when she comes for her parcel. Unfortunately I did not see where the mouse went (and I wasn't aware it was there when I moved it) and Poppy (the collector and loser of mice) has lost interest. Patio door cracked open in the hope that mouse makes a break for it.
flying done although I did run WM and TD on cheap electricity when I woke in the night. Which was often but never at the same time as DD who, disturbed by cat chasing a mouse noises, had attemped to solve that problem overnight.

So sorry about your tooth Valli. I hope the area is now completely pain free. The car wouldn't start this morning. Not sure what that's all about - Belovéd thinks it's the battery, I think it's the starter motor; either way, organising it to be sorted is his responsibility so I don't have to worry my pretty little head about it. However, my computer - I do, and the techie didn't turn up, apparently. Hmff.Walked a mile to the Foodbank, didn't mind that as the sky was blue and it wasn't raining, sorted that, walked to L!dl and did the shopping but didn't buy a few heavy things or the eggs we can get at the Co-0p, walked a mile in the rain towards home lugging three mini backpacks stuffed with f&v, in to the pharmacy to collect Belovéd's stuff, dropped my own prescription off and thence to the post office to post various things - some umbrella fabric will be winging it's way northwards this afternoon. Remembered while I was in there that:- the bus stop is opposite the post office,- there is a bus every 30 minutes,- it takes me to within 50 yards of the house, and- I had my bus pass with me.Spent 28 minutes on Twitter while waiting.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.5

Afternoon all. Hope your mouth is much better now Valli. I had toothache one weekend last year and it felt like weeks until I had it taken out. It was 3 days actually. Hope the car and computer get sorted out soon HB.Two washloads done this morning, one lot all dry and just a duvet cover finishing from the second load. That's almost dry too. Went out with DD1 this morning for coffee and shopping. This afternoon I've dusted, polished and vacuumed all through the house and washed the kitchen floor. It wasn't that bad but it's been on my mind and I feel better now it's done. Probably nobody else would notice the difference.Hope everyone's OK.6
