Alaudable ambition and one I have, especially as I'm bad at emptying pockets pre-wash. But also I have my Grandma' handkerchiefs, because my mum had them and also my mum's and I already had some. If you're short of them I'm happy to send some. Oh - I also have gent's too...Honey_Bear said:h- no more boxes of tissues, use handkerchiefs;
Been to see the aged P who has installed his new cat flap, with his neighbour and they've managed to install it inside out! I have protected the battery compartment with duct tape and instructed hin to swap it around ...He claims there were no instructions. They come with a thick book...
Been for rabbit bedding and food. Coffee being drunk from an appropriate mug.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

So far so good Valli, and I'm surprised by that. I thought I didn't have enough but I tried to do this some years ago and found some handkerchiefs in a CS so I bought a few. It'll be easier in the summer when I can get stuff washed and dried, but so far I've managed. However, if you want to declutter some it would be rude for me to say no, wouldn't it? (I prefer men's actually.)I'm cooking for a friend next weekend up country, and started off today by making cheese pastry in the food processor as I'd had to grate some cheese and can't be faffed with washing up the bowl twice. I'd added 7 tablespoons of water, thinking, wow, I don't think I've ever had to add this much water before, and then realised I'd forgotten the butter. Doubled the recipe and now have enough pastry for four flans.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7

I'd like to join you in these please HB (obviously I'll be tasking OH, rather than Belovèd, with our small jobs)Honey_Bear said:I can ask Belovéd to do the small jobs he's better at doing than me, and not spend his Flying time vacuuming. This Year's Flying Ambition: There will be space in every drawer including the filing cabinet, every box, every tray, every cupboard, every shelf and every other storage space, so that I can always put things away.- eat the food stores down.
No flying for me today, apart from cooking tea & a bit of kitchen S&S ing. Pelvic hip injection done this morning so am sitting with feet up.

Valli, I have PM'd you

What is an appropriate mug for coffee after collecting rabbit bedding and food? I imagine one with long ears, though they might get in the way!
Today I have
- prepared and laminated bird ID sheets and designed, printed and guillotined tick-lists for tomorrow's RSPB Birdwatch in the churchyard
- sorted some more photos
- got waylaid by some of my ancestors: it seems that when my widowed 2x-gt-grandmother re-married in 1817 she continued to pay the rates on the family pub in Westminster in her previous married name until at least 1837, when her daughter and son-in-law (my gt-grandparents) took over
- done WMx1 (DH's bedding, which he stripped off his bed without my help)
- helped DH put on the fresh bedding
- gone to MrAl in the "village" for what should have been quite a small shop, but it turned out that chicken breasts and thighs were on offer, so ....
- portioned out and wrapped them all individually, and filled the empty space in the freezer. If we get snowed in again, we shall be OK for food and drink.
I haven't watched the Traitors' final this evening as DH is out wargaming and wants to watch it tomorrow.
Hope everyone enjoys a bit of a break this weekend xxx7 -
I'll do a photo of the mug...
I have found a stash of codeine...think it's from when I was floored by chemo.

Morning.
Glad you’re feeling a bit better now Valli.
Yesterday after a full day at the paid stuff I did nothing more than a quick S/S of the kitchen and bathroom and watched the Traitors final. I’ve not really watched TV for man many months so it was nice to get into something good. I really enjoyed it.
I have nothing planned today so will be flying, probably off list but I am determined to get this place in some sort of order.Mortgage, paid off!6 -
Morning all,
It seems that I forgot to post yesterday…
Hugs to anyone struggling, whether that be physical or mental pain x
Yesterday I got my act together as my guag popped its head out of its hidey hole. Bathroom given a proper clean and soda crystals left down the plugholes all night, rinsed down this morning with boiling water. DD’s bedding changed as she is away for a few days, bedroom dusted and vacuumed, then the same for the landing and stairs. Mouldy window frames cleaned. DH also had some of my guag forced on him, with the result that the 2 shelves are now up in the hall and the coatpegs are currently a work in progress. After 20 years, we finally have an entrance that is starting to look like a home. This morning, wm x 1 has been run. I am on hand in my role as DIY mate. I also need to make 3 birthday cards for early February birthdays this weekend while I have sole use of the craft / spare room.8 -
Morning all
Delighted to report I had a relatively pain-free night which lead to ... SIX hours uninterrupted sleep - dah dah daaaah! Amazing how different I feel in myself.
Will keep the flying to a minimum today, and keep my feet up in between S&Sing the kitchen & bathroom and some laundry.

Morning all,
My list for today
Deal with Mr T delivery
Finish writing up uni work from this week
Make a start on uni prep for next week
Load the DW and switch it on
Make a start on a motivational board
Laundry x 2 loads
Take DD to the stables so she can feed and check on her pony
HHI
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday/weekend.8 -
Top layer vacuumed. Belovéd has fixed the wonky four gang thingy next to my side of the bed and advised me to plug the battery charger in elsewhere. He's also put the new cordless stick thingy charger up on the RoD wall which is where it should have been in the first place but couldn't go until the dog crate was dismantled, which I did a few days ago. Big sighs of relief on my part as it's less gibble cluttering up the flat and fluffy surfaces and each baby step is a step in the right direction in this room.Brunch cooked, evening meal prepped, and yoghurt started; everything out of the freezer except the gravy for tomorrow night's Burn's supper. I'll have to dig to find the gravy and that can wait. Now hunting in my OS 1:50,000 First Series collection of maps for the one/s that show Eigg, Muck, Rhum and Arisaig. I love love love these maps.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6
