Hi can someone please help and advise me, I have been pulled up for a review as well but have to do through my online journal.
Now what I am worried about is uploading bank statement as it shows paypal and ebay payments going in as I have sold personal items online, but not mentioned as didn't think would have to as personal. I am worried I will not get any money on the 30th and have nothing to my name in savings, will they stop immediately will I get paid on the 30th I feel physically sick and can't stop shaking.0 -
Unless the sale of your personal items made your capital exceed £6k, they will not be interested beyond probably asking you for PayPal statements to check you aren't holding a positive balance in your account.1

Selling personal possessions is definitely allowed and not something you needed to have declared per se, only if it all added up over time and took your savings above £6,000. You should be fine[Deleted User] said:Hi can someone please help and advise me, I have been pulled up for a review as well but have to do through my online journal.

[And FWIW as far as I understand they don't usually suspend payments even when there is a problem, it's usually only if there's a massive problem that they think looks like you shouldn't be entitled to UC (such as savings above £16,000).]1 -
No issues. Selling your possessions is fine... what they're more interested in is if someone is operating a business buying and selling items. You will likely be asked to supply all bank statements and other account statements like Paypal - if this is a standard review likely covering last 4 months. When interviewed they ask questions about the transactions that arouse their interest the most it seems... they may well ask about ebay or paypal transactions or things like cash deposits if applicable... part of their job and so when they can't find anything of interest they can default to silly questions like 'what is this payment to Thames Water for?'[Deleted User] said:Hi can someone please help and advise me, I have been pulled up for a review as well but have to do through my online journal.

Thankyou to everyone who replied to my post.
Trouble with me I always do worst case scenerios in my head first.
So I do not have the paypal anymore all closed down, as no longer need it now, the ebay transactions are not mega, I checked the last four months like they wanted on bank statements and less than £200 in four months, if they look through my bank accounts in detail they can see I am struggling, so hopefully all will be good. I just went into shock when they said review. Thankyou once again I will update when they have done review, this thread is good for anyone panicking about an upcoming review as all our circumstances are different.0 -
Just re-read this and realised that it's two different people asking. Hope it all went ok anyway.1

Yes two different, I added a post yesterday as am going through same thing, I just been given an appointment at job centre to take in some statements I couldn't upload in the format they asked for. Don't know why but still feeling very nervous, but all the advice above makes complete sense. I am overthinking again. I rang UC this morning they said as long as I am doing what they ask that's good, and if not completed by the deadline of 30th should be ok as they might still be working on it we shall see. Hopefully I will get my money as usually in 10 days time.0

I don't know if they're changing the format of how you can upload; I think it's 16 jpeg images or a PDF links all in one app. I can't remember what I sent them last year. Where they find the time to look at everyone's information and get it sorted I think it has to be very basic. Judging by the prompt response.1

Judging by the prompt response.Yes, each ToDo requesting evidence can only accept up to a maximum of 16 attachments or files. If you need to upload more, then they can create more ToDo's. For example, if they request 3 years worth of monthly bank statements (36 monthly statements), then they would need to create 3 ToDo's to allow for all 36 attachments (and you may need to request this)Attachments can usually be in PDF or image (e.g, jpeg) format.

I merged PDFs to save having to request extra to-dos, if that helps. There are several free programs / apps available for various operating systems and types of devices.3
