Really that seems rather low. But it wouldn't surprise me.

I told UC I have 7 statements in pdf format to upload, they sent me a to-do and when I tried to upload the sixth pdf a red banner came up saying maximum is 5 uploads.

    This was near years eve.

  • I ended up with a job centre appointment so they could message the payments dept and they sent the statements I could not upload via what they call relay (royal mail I think) It is still showing in my UC things to do that my evidence had to be uploaded before the 30th, they marked that I attended the job centre, I am still waiting to hear back not sure if it will take a long time, I did get my money on the 30th but I will still be on edge until they get back to me. I put a note in as well explaining my extra paypal and ebay payments where selling personal items well under the limit.

I had my review notice in the beginning of November and had my review phone call on Thursday (29th). So 13 weeks ish. I'm hoping they leave me alone for a bit longer next time as it was less than 6 months since they did the first review.

  • @JadedAngel88 Really! I hope I don't get another one in less than 6 months time, I thought it was every few years, this is my first one as been on benefits for around 3 years now. People have told me it is just a random selection. I just hope they update my to do list before my next payment, as I did as required. I think if you have shown you have no savings like myself they should leave you alone and keep an eye on people who have nearly reached the savings threshold.

  • I wonder why they do some by phone and others via online like myself?

"People have told me it is just a random selection".

Allegedly. I'm going through a UC review at the moment after 14 months from the previous one. This one started the day after I made a request to the DWP for my data for my PIP claim.

I've uploaded bank statements and other info they asked for within the date range. They've now asked for bank statements again for the last 4 months so that'll be another month for January, saying the previous ones are 'not compliant'. I've asked them what they mean because they're bank generated statements the same as I used last time. I can't make them any more compliant.

There's nothing there for them to raise. The person last time was really nice and asked a few simple questions and that was it. I can't show them capital or savings I don't have which is what they want !

The person (virtual agent) now doesn't seem that 'nice' and was late for the initial phone calls (me and partner) by one hour, citing 'system error' when I asked why you're late but expected us to take the call. I'd sent a journal message 5 minutes after the times to say no-one has called. I was out and had to stop what I was doing and answer it. Then rush home and tell my partner as she may have been busy around the house and not realise the call is being made.

  • @tifo what an absolute pain for you. I don't have any capital or savings either, I have found the whole thing so stressful, they must still be looking at mine as my journal is still showing to be completed by 30th Jan, and I have done all I can. All the hours they spend looking at this is ridiculous, all they need to see is savings. Good luck with yours

This wont be popular but if you don’t want the hassle, stop your claim.

When you sign up you agree to do certain things, search for work for a given set of hours, comply with given tasks ect ect, so unless you are classed as having an illness or disability that stops you, you need to comply with what DWP want. It’s either comply or get sanctioned.

If you feel so against the review system, then if you don’t comply you’ll get sanctioned. If you close your claim you wont be troubled with reviews etc etc.
