Morning all - I know it's gone 12 but I haven't had my dinner yet so it's still morning to me.Two washloads done, that's all the bedding done now and clothes up to date. Try and do the bath towels tomorrow.Taken DGD4 to school this morning and will be picking her up later and bringing her back here for tea, then back home to get ready for her club. DD2 got a flat tyre yesterday (pothole) so there was some toing and froing yesterday evening and again this morning but all sorted now. Until the next thing. She needs a break. Every January we hope they'll have an easier year but it doesn't seem to work out for them
They've already had to replace the washing machine, tumble dryer and shower and it's still only mid month.Hope everyone's OK.6 -
After being unable to get my washer door to open I have switched oit off at the socket and left it. Sure enough the classic IT fix worked. Phew. There were jumpers in there.
Ironing done.

Hallooooo xx
I made my bed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, popped a birthday card through A's letterbox, and called at the C00p for supplies for the weekend.
I'm taking my blood pressure morning and evening - consistently low so far. That's why I was surprised when the GP said it was on the high side.
My thyroid function blood test results came back today and they're abnormal*. Hospital has phoned with an appointment for an ultrasound scan of my thyroid next Friday.
Blood tests indicate an overactive thyroid but I have no symptoms. Just a lump. 🤷♀️
I freaked a little when I saw the test results, but I'm OK now. Typical me really: panic, then get on with it. If only I could fathom out how to avoid the 'panic' stage. It's so annoying.
Sorry. Not much flying done. I'll crack on with the Saturdailies tomorrow.

MrBC joined me this morning for a team cleaning and tidying half hour. He was armed with the hoover and I followed with the polish and duster. We had the windows open for some nice fresh air.
we put the printer back where it belongs so our desk is now less cluttered.
1 load of washing more or less dried on the line.7 -

Round, it must be a big relief for you that your BP is staying low (I bet you're like me and have white coat syndrome
- although I really have no fear of doctors) so just the thyroid problem for you to deal with. Thinking of you and wishing you well xx
Both my shoulders have been aching this week, so this morning I decided that I really needed to bring the contents of the kitchen wall cupboards down to shelves 1 (lowest) and 2 where I could reach everything, so
- the wine glasses and beer glasses have been slightly rearranged so that the ones we use most often are on shelf 1
- some of the soup bowls and 4 side plates have come down to shelf 1, whilst some of the cereal bowls and large plates have gone up to shelf 2
- herbs and spices have been consolidated, and all the seasonings/sauces/stuffing moved down to shelf 2, whilst the spare bottles of lemon juice and the tubes of garlic/ginger/tomato paste crammed into the kitchen fridge
- the spare bags of breakfast oats and muesli have been moved from shelf 3 of a wall cupboard to the larder cupboard and put behind the open bags
- I shall also make room for the unopened packs of pasta and grains in the larder cupboard, but that may take some time as we need to eat our way through a few more if they're all going to fit.
I'm doing a low-spend January and at the halfway point it's going well. It has made me realise how very well off for provisions we are, and I'm planning not to buy any more cans or packets for the rest of this month or in February, unless we honestly do not have a similar replacement ingredient to jazz up my usual recipes!
After that bit of excitement first thing, my energy levels tailed off again, so I haven't achieved a great deal since. We went out for lunch with our friends L and C, which is a sort-of monthly event, but DH used another 50% off mains voucher so it was relatively MSE. When we got home I may have closed my eyes for a short time (L can talk for England *and* Wales, and it's exhausting!) and since then I've been researching regular savings accounts to replace one that will mature at the end of the month. Next I need to write a card to my DSiL, and then I'll sort some more photos. DH has gone off to wargaming, so I promised that I would leave watching tonight's Traitors until tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable weekend xxx6 -
Good morning. It's Saturday!
I am having my second cuppa with a couple of croissants and jam, having only just got up after 11 hours sleep. Obviously needed it and had been up since 4am yesterday.
No real plans for this morning and it's damp here so not sure when I'll be walking Poppet. We're looking after DGS this afternoon while his sister goes to a party. As he's now almost walking, I'll get the push along toy out of the shed. Cleaning that and dailies may be my only flying today.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all,
Round, I will cross everything for you for next Friday x
Pollybear, that sounds like your DD is having a rough start to the year. The pothole situation here is dire (despite our Council somehow having come out as one of the best Councils in the latest government list. Not sure what the criteria was, but number and depth of potholes it certainly wasn’t). Yesterday alone there were 4 cars pulled up on the main road outside the village, all with burst tyres due to a particularly bad stretch of road.
Minimal flying yesterday - just a clean of the downstairs toilet, and a s&s of the bathroom. Lunch out with DH’s cousin and his wife, which was lovely. DD came back from uni city, where her car had been broken into overnight, despite being locked. As far as we can tell, they stole her new to her coat and car parking cash, thankfully not the car. As there is no obvious damage to the car and the alarm does not appear to have gone off, I can only assume that they had some method of opening that was a step above smashing the window. Scumbags. She is really upset and unnerved by it.
I need to get a flying plan together for the weekend. Don’t worry, it is unlikely to be extensive! Have a good day all x6
