Good Morning All
Welcome to the the new posters, and hugs to all those who are unwell or looking after those who are unwell.
Congratulations Hilstep on your DD engagement, and I am sorry to hear about how poorly your parents were over Christmas, what a worry to see your Mum lose so much weight through it.
Oh dear, I should jot down people's names as I can't remember them by the time I come to post, but I've just read a post where someone has made vegan pate, it sounds very interesting, will it be possible to have the recipe? I am constantly seeking inspiration for packed lunches.
Plans for today: I need to go to the library and return the books to avoid charges, complete washing, hang up clothes in the wardrobe that are piled on the bed (first I need to clear a path to the wardrobe as I can't open the wardrobe doors, hence large pile on bed  ) and spend time on the forum learning more tips.
Have a good day everyone & take care.

Morning to all.
I too am a newbie although have been a long time lurker.
I was up at around 8.30 this morning and had planned 30 minutes browsing before starting the tidying before w**k this afternoon. W**k now cancelled due to the weather so am going to start my day by cleaning the house and getting the 4 loads of washing done. I have been lurking and trying to take on board all of the tips that you all give. Most of the time I dont know how you all manage to get it all packed into your days. :T
I am today going to make a HM spag bol (I usually use the jars but have been inspired by you all). My BM is on my kitchen worktop with all ingredients ready for when the last loaf has gone.
My freezers and fridge are going to be cleaned today and meals planned as we all (OH and DS) need to lose weight.
Made a lovely stir-fry from scratch yesterday and hope that the inspiration will continue through the year.
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Good Morning All
Had sleepless night again, pain in my back again!
Trying to keep moving for it not to get any worse.
Thought I would take a break from the ironing for a while, not much to do, (as I only tend to do it as its needed)
Kids are with their dad from this a-noon untill Sunday at 7pm.
Housework needs to be done, OH will do the shopping Sunday morning
Still not sorted my craft cupboard out, must try & get that done.
Meal plan for this coming week, and sort out the shopping list.
We only have a budget of £45 again (due to OH's work messing up his wages) We did it last wk so Im sure it can be done again.
some ebay items ends today, so if they pay quick, I can get them wrapped ready for posting.
Have a good wk end
Take care - Love Emma xxxHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Morning Guys!
Just catching up with washing etc today. OH has hung load on the line but bedding will go in the TD:o and we will still have another 3 loads to do and we have an 8kg WM:eek:
Managed to buy 2 superking fitted bedsheets from Matalan whilst away in their sale reduced to £6.50 each with a high thread count and a spare quilt cover set for £13 including pillowcases. OH also got some nice tops half price and another suit. My Dr Martin boots arrived whilst away(gorgeous!)-I bought them on Amazon and they are amazing. I am going to moan to them though, as they slung them over the back gate! Dress for DD from Debenhams arrived and the new jacket and they are lovely and fit well. She has decided to wear the dress with different accessories (sp) to 2 different weddings-so that will be cheaper for us:D
OH has got to do some running around today for DD:rolleyes: , get some food shopping (fridge/fresh) and put suitcases away.
We will be starting our mega de-clutter this week hopefully and have decided to clear alot of stuff we dont use. May list a few things on Freecycle later today actually. Have a rice cooker, juicer, perculator, blender, george foreman that we never use and is taking up needed space.
Hope everyone is ok.

Good morning everyone
Got some baking to do today and a small pile of ironing. Off to strip the beds in a minute. Kids have guinea pigs to clean out and homework to do. Hopefully tomorrow we can have a family day with a bike ride and walking the dog (not at the same time - lol) and some board games in the afternoon.
Tea will be some pork chops and homemade wedges. Might make DH a coffee cake (mind you he moaned this morning that he has put on half a stone over christmas).
Take care

Morning all
Hi & welcome to all the newbies, this is a great thread & very motivational.
I'm still decluttering, though I'm finding it harder now as I can't get rid of the stuff I don't want. The local charity shops are full to overflowing & I've tried freecycle & the local homeless shelters.
I bought 2 large gammon joints from the butches last week, £10 for the 2 & they are huge, one is frozen the other is cooking as we speak, then I'll slice some of it & turn the rest into varoius dishes.
Hope everyone has a good day.
hugs Hester

Morning everyone - sorry to hear that many are sick. I was feeling sorry for myself thinking I was the only one this morning with flu-y cold - it did me good to get on here and shake myself out of it. ((((hugs)))) to all who are unwell.
Scottie - well done for leaving teaching and giving yourself time out. Hope you enjoy a bit of stress-free time at weekends and evenings with no marking and prep. I'm sure your family will love the home made goodies and, as you say, the stress-free you!
I hope to make a big pot of sausage casserole type thing today. That's my one aim! Yesterday was spent mostly in bed or on the settee but I did make a chicken stew. My OH doesn't cook so he will get a take away for tea if i don't do something and we have hungry stepsons coming over, along with one hungry girlfriend! Take away would shoot a big hole in my grocery budget. When I cook sausages I usually braise them and then boil potatoes separately but this time I'm just going to bung it all in one pan.
I *might* get round to changing out bed. that would be nice ....aaaaaaaah the thought of getting into lovely fresh sheets tonight. yes, I will do that!0 -
