Morning all and massive (((hugs))) to all those of you who are poorly. This rotten bug just will not let go, will it? I hope you all get better quickly.

Well, I woke up at 5am and intended to get up and make an early start on taking the decorations down but I obviously dozed off again and suddenly it was 7.30! I'll have a shower in a mo, then breakfast and then get going. I just want to get the house back to normal now. I sorted out the bedrooms yesterday so it's just downstairs but I can't wait to see it all decluttered!

Dinner tonight is beef stew - once I've popped out to get the leeks that the Co-op didn't have yesterday. Can't imagine a stew without leeks! I'll make enough to freeze a couple of extra portions. I also have some apples that are a bit wrinkly so will cook them down and freeze them for pie fillings. I need to have a massive baking session but that will have to wait until Monday when DH is back at work and I have the house to myself.

Well, better go and take his lordship a cuppa and have my shower.

I'll pop in later but, to all those of you who are poorly, don't try and do too much; take it easy and keep up the hot lemon and honey.

    See you all later.

    Morning Everyone

I have a couple of days away from a PC, and come back to find many new names. Never mind, "Big Wave" to all I haven't met before.

I am back via dial up for the next few weeks, so my emocions will be typed versions, and posts spasmodic.

Good journey out apart from a little turbulance over the Pyranees. Short lived due to action taken by pilot, but the bit that hit us certainly threw the plane around more than I have experienced before. Take off and arrival on time, it had been raining heavily here when we arrived, but yesterday the sun and blue skies were back Went for a walk along the coastal path, testing my foot out a little, but it survived, decided that the the method to go, daily walks getting longer, but not at a fast pace as I cannot seem to handle that yet.

Market this morning so will stock up with fresh veg/fruit, plus see what other bargains on offer. Kings Parade tonight so going into town to watch that.

(((BIG Hugs))) to those feeling under the weather and/or with LO's not good either.

Amie -fingers crossed for your plans, hope they work out, shame you are not nearer, we need one back home - lol.

I will try to read back and find what I have missed, take care all.

  • Morning all

Up early today as we are off to the auction - have checked the online catalogue, and there are more greetings cards  For anyone who has seen my declutter thread, they will know that more cards is the last thing I need, but I can sniff a profit :D

Managed to reserve three of the £9.37 hampers from Tesco yesterday, so my DS and sister will be getting one each later. I just love this site, I also got the Avon glitch items, so am feeling very pleased with myself :j

Sorry to hear some LOs aren't well, hope they feel better soon, and (((hugs))) to all their mummies and daddies whose sleep patterns are suffering

Hope everyone has a good day x

Hope you have a good day - just intrigued what kind of auction are you going to where you get hampers etc. - or am I getting the wrong end of the stick??? Interested.....

    Morning All!
Haven't posted since Christmas Eve, been so busy.
Well, Christmas Day morning was lovely. DD and boyfriend came over for lunch, and he'd proposed on Christmas Eve, so champagne all round:T Lunch went well, even tho I was a bit wobbly making it:rotfl:
Went to see Mum and Dad after lunch, but they were both ill. Mum still can't eat (she's lost 4 stone:eek: ) and Dad had the flu. I should have gone to Dorset on the Friday to see OH's mum (It was her birthday) but I couldn't go. I had to spend the next four days looking after Mum and Dad. Had them in two bedrooms, had to pop between them all day.
New Years Eve was good. Went out with some friends to a local Russian bar. Russian music and food, and loads of vodka shots!:rotfl: My head was bad the next day!

Tookl Mum to the hospital Thurs, she's finally having her feeding tube fitted next week, and the social worker has put a "care package" in place, so Dad won't have to bathe Mum, and get her dressed, and do so much housework.

I'm back at work Monday (Should have gone in yesterday, couldn't be bothered!)
Feel like I haven't had a holiday at all.

Still hope the rest of you are all okay, and your holiday was better than mine!:T :T

    Have a good day!

More washing! Tumbling! Folding/putting away then will try and help kids clean their rooms and finish Christmas thank yous!

'Morning all, I am having a stay-at-home day today, after all the hustle and bustle of the festive season I need to chill.

After reading the Simplifying life and Resolutions threads I am now motivated to declutter:eek:. So today I am going through the whole house - DD is doing a car boot sale in February, I'm sure I'll find a load of stuff for her.

The wm is already on and although it looks quite damp, there is a good breeze so I shall take a chance and hang out the washing.

All food today is leftovers from xmas/ny - so leaving me plenty time to clear out those cupboards !!!

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

Sorry to hear that so many people are still poorly, or have poorly people to look after. I hope everybody feels better soon. We're well here for once, but no doubt that will change once ds goes back to nursery next week.

I cleaned and tidied the bottom of our house yesterday (two floors), so only the upstairs two floors to do today. I had poached egg on HM wholemeal bread for breakfast, and DH has promised some HM broccoli soup for lunch, with more HM bread. He will use every pan/plate/bowl in the kitchen, but I'm really looking forward to the soup.

I'm lucky that he has taken this OS cooking from scratch and being economical so well. Actually, he owned a slow cooker for years before he met me, so he can probably do better than me!

    Take care all of you.

    Good Morning All

(((hugs))) to those still under the weather and all the ill little ones.

Got up at 7.15 this morning but dont know where the time has gone already  .

One load in the washing machine and loads more to do, will be mainly ironing today. Need to get chicken breasts out of freezer - chicken wraps for tea tonight.

Off to take DS footie training in a mo, he will come back covered in mud with all the rain we had yesterday evening.

Think DD has a mate coming over and they are off out to other mates round the village so hopefully a peaceful day. Got a new game for the wii yesterday - smarty pants - had a quick go last night and it looks like fun so will probably be playing that later. Missing SCD - saturday evenings dont seem the same anymore.

    Have a great Saturday.
